Actually, I think Options and Flex pay more than NetJets. They are good companies, although the whole fractional ownership program is going thru growing pains.

Just do your homework. Look at potential, growth and stability. I did this (as I built hours to the minimums) and by far NetJets stood out. You just can't beat being backed by Berkshire Hathaway (NetJets, Flight Safety, GIECO, Dairy Queen, Outback, Coke a Cola, Fiji water, and Waren Buffett himself) and the investors (owners) feel the same way. We have 1800+ pilots and soon to grow with 350+ jets with 200 on order. With 4-5 pilots per airframe, you can see the growth potential (say seniority number).

Good luck.

Scrode, where are you getting those numbers. 350 airplanes, yes if you count NJI and EJM. Neither of those are Teamster pilots. So they really dont count in that number. Just looked at the list of NJA airplanes last month, something like 260 or around that. I think 5000 is a bit of an over estimation also. Lets say we just about double in size in the next 5 years, thats a little less than 4000 needed, and I dont think NJA can expand that much. The days of growing at moronic rates are over for the fractionals I would guess.

Touche! Had the same list as you but skipped a line adding it up. Either way, 5000 pilots at NJA alone, seems like a stretch.

The "total" original orders for NJA (EJA/EJI only) was 1012. At 5 pilots/plane you would get 5000 pilots. One thing marketing didn't publish in those figures were aircraft "retirements." So theoretically we would never have 1000 aircraft at one time.

I'm a bit out of touc hhere, hopefully you guys can clear things up for me.
please define:

Retro?
NJA
EJA
EJI

thanks

Retro=Retroactive pay to begining of contract netgotiations 2.5 years ago. Say $$$

NJA=NetJets Aviation Inc. - Large pilot goup (1800+), Unionized through Teamsters, operates CE560, CE560XL, CE650, CE750, H800, H1000, G200, F2000, Boeing Business Jet. Future operations of Sovigern, and Hawker 400XP.

EJI (Changed name to NJI two years ago) NJI=NetJets International - Small pilot group (250+), Non-Union, operates GIV, GIVsp, GV.

EJM=Executive Jet Management - Size of pilot group directly related to size of managed aircraft fleet. - Non-Union, contract pilots (not sure on exact specifics) - operates many different aircraft types and fleets, again, depends upon contracts.

hope this helps.

ooh right...cash! well, thats definately going to be a bone of contention between the pilots and management, especially if its backpay over 2.5 years!

I take it all these companies are not related ? Or is NJI and NJA owned by the same holding company or something?

Yeah it does help, thanks mate:cool:

NetJets Aviation (NJA) and NetJets International (NJI) and Executive Jet Management (EJM) are all divisions of NetJets, Inc.

Seamless operations with separate pilot groups and separate FAR 135 certificates. All three groups do International flights. Not just NJI.

Thank you, that helps clear things up.
If there are these three 'companies' are all sub-divisions of a larger company, does that mean the pilot groups are all on differently negotiated, or set, contracts, with different payscales, rostering, leave, benefits etc?

If so, why? Sounds kinda like Cathay having different standards for the freight and pax guys...

I understand that they operate different fleets, are there any movement of crews between the companies?

thanks

Yes

No

Like I said above....We operate on separate charter certificates.

Maybe a new mec?

Look you guys have to wake up. They ve fed you what you wanted to hear for 2.5 years.
Your mec has done NADA. If they represented a major they wouldve been gone long ago.
Nothing personal but you guys pay dues and have received nothing but a bunch of
used car salesman type briefings.

Where is the WS Journal add informing the public on the 39000 jet cpt or the
informal picketing or the black listing of the extended people?
meanwhile boisture is neg. to close all the gateways and have you guys drive to 5 regional hubs.

Nice work MEC get with it or get out!

Hmm. I'm not sure about the gateway closures, but the rest of what you said makes you sound like another disgruntled NJA pilot. Welcome to the club. Livin the dream.
