Flylow I never said you said there are the same dips.
I'm saying safety said there are dips.
Heck i don't even know what I was saying.
Going to have to drink some beers to reread that.
Thank you Fozzy.
See guys, that wasn't so hard. Civil, to the point, and not a hint of attitude.
I know the union guys are already on it. If there is anything to come out of it I know they will let us know ASAP.
Thanks for all the PMs from the guys that sent them.
P.S. I am a total bucket of wrenches to fly with. I'm the entire toolbox. Just ask the guys on flightinfo.com. Everybody is a tool except themselves.:smash:
Hugs and kisses to all you b!tches.
Njamerica-
A lot of people come here because it is anonymous and just like anything else they can be tougher here than on the union board.
Why should the union have to push the company to do what's right. The company can make the change at any time but they choose not to. So while guys are trying to save the company a few bucks by using LRC the company is actively spending more money to make sure your commute is longer and tougher than it needs to be.
Why HBA's are such a hot topic on our own messageboard is because people who have been here any length of time understand the company could care less about money. They've got plenty of it. I know its insane but its a fact.
So if you bought a house under an airport do you have the right to complain about the airport noise? Not really but you still do.
This is a pretty weird reason to leave and completely false. ACP's don't make any decisions for us. The captains make the decisions.... period. A standard NJ pilot has to deal with a lot more variables than a 121 world. At NJ being a captain is not just a title. Its the ability to manage a million different variables not just inside the cockpit but all the way to the hotel. The minute ACP's start making our decisions for us I'll be joining you walking out the door.
Enjoy your new job. Hopefully you'll be able to handle the variables there better.
I don't think your opinion on the subject really counts.
The email also says hurry up and designate your training travel airport! Sounds to me like feelers are being put out to exactly how many dumbaciled crewmembers want HBA.
I can't believe that a college educated, professional pilot could accept a job without realizing what is really going on.
Nobody is being bitter. I'm a realist and using over 7 years of working for this company and 5 years of being in negotiations for a contract that was "right around the corner".
Really you think so?
You don't think that outside crewmembers who are on the fence see this as, "oh its just around the corner" "i can stick it out for a couple of months"
If you really want to ask direct questions about hba's a better portal would be the union weboard where we are talking apples to apples.
Happens everyday. Or maybe they take it with blinders on thinking that change is just around the corner due to some post they might have heard from a friend of a friend on some weboard.
You can be optimistic all you want but the reality is it is costing the company money to have domiciles and they are still willing to do that. Once again look at the big picture.

As for your opinion...I was talking about commuting, not your years of service. Slow down, read carefully. If you have worked here for 7 years you don't commute.
Honestly why would I care? I've got to take a subway to work big dealI think you are pissed at people like me that have made the commute work.
Can't be farther from the truth. I'd give my left nut right now for this company. My family loves this company. There is NO place I'd rather be. They have treated me better than anybody could imagine. I go above and beyond everyday but I'm a realist. I know the next fight is around the corner in 3 years and counting.I think you are so jaded and bitter toward the company and the way they treated you pre 2006, that you can't play nice anymore.
Okay you're right I want 500 people to quit, cost the company millions of dollars in type ratings and training just so I can say i'm right. Whew got that off my chest. No i want people to be informed. I want them to understand that I'm not willing to give up one piece of anything for a deal they knew walking in the door. Here's the deal, you buy under an airport you live with the airplane noise. Maybe one day the place will close but why would you buy on the chance it might close.I also think that you want us all to quit, sighting the domicile system as the cause. To hell with my career as long as you get what you want. Right? Then you can gloat and say "We told you so!", and you can be Right! That's what it really comes down to. Isn't it?
The job was what it was a few years ago. We all took it. Big deal.I have heard first hand accounts about the way it was here a few years ago. I know it was a lot worse than it is now. I sympathize with all the pilots that lived it. But, you still took the job. Is that my fault to?
Actually i'm running an excavator all day today, beer will come later tonight when the burn pile gets under control.Come off your perch and have a beer.
No need to take shots. I'm just answering your questions open and honestly.Go ahead and take your shots.
