Canadian employment consideration

I tried that years ago. I sent materials to Air BC and one or two others. I learned that Canadian companies consider their own nationals before they look at others.

Talk to immigration and get your residency or temporary work permit. Then start in the North and work your way down. If you have float time (over 500hrs), then you can make big $$$ easy.
