Anyone know where to get a cord to plug a cd player or radio to the mike jack. Of course only for ground operations and those long delays!!!

Some people have gotten them from radio shack. Radio shack doesn't carry the PTT size connector. Does the Ipod or Cd player hook into the Headphone or Mic jack?

Be careful with just "creating" a cord... I just blew out the right channel on my MP3 player with my home made cord...

I got one from PilotMall and it fugged up the intercom every time the music was on. It halfed the IC volume and played the music where both could hear it and where the music transmitted over the radios. Bad deal.

You have to be careful as some aircraft have power in the jacks. This will screw up (blow) circuitry in whatever you plug into it. That is how some ANR headsets can work without the use of a battery pack.

Contact the folks at crewneeds.com, the guy that designed the bags on there is a pilot at ASA and he also designed a plug in cable that works for mp3 players. It isn't on the website but they can give you his name and number and I am sure he would sell you one.

Is listening to music really that big a deal? Are we really unprofessional? I for one lack the intelligence required to write all those numbers in those squares. The boxes they give you are just too tiny. I cry myself to sleep at night because I just can't do it! There's no hope...... Guess I can never be professional.

You could always read the FAA approved Sports section of the POH. :)

Don't forget the free hair product. You can also send away for a free guide: "How to Sound Cool on the Radio"... Enjoy!
