Oh yeah, BTW, B19, I'm putting an offer on a piece of property this week I want to build my families dream house on this week...something I wouldnt have been able to do a year ago if I had let my elected leaders sit on their haunches and let the company do their thing and not present the pilot group the IBB.... Win Win negotiating...remember?
We both worked together and continue a strong symbiotic relationship......y'know? Oops, I'm sorry, you cannot see that throught your blinders.

..tah tah, sweetie, ...and I will eagerly await your fetid response, as pathetic as it may be.

You know what's funny? I have a couple of houses, not by choice, I'd rather have just one. I wasn't able to sell the last one after my last layoff from a union action so I just rent it out now. Thankfully the renter is taking nice care of it.

Congrads on being able to buy that piece of property. I do understand how nice it is to live in your own home.

The problem is, that I was forced to leave my favorite home and move to pay the bills. I hope you don't fall into the same fate as I did.

Let's hope that the union treats you better than me. Many of my friends have suffered the same fate as me, they rent thiers out too.

That's a new one B, how do you come up with all these good stories? Although, you haven't said much about your "friend's suicide" bit lately. Did that fable get too stale?

with your attitude i see why you got laid off......

They always cut the dead weight on a layoff first-Is that what happened?
Did you get to keep the red stapler?

Tell Nancy we said Hello.

Excellent post, HSF! When the once apathetic NJ pilots of Local 284 stopped relying on a distant national organization to improve things for them and realized that they are the Union everything changed for the better. The NJA and FltOps pilots have taken charge of their own destiny and are standing up for themselves. Those flinging FUD and putting down the Union are deliberately (with much ignorance in the process) insulting every pilot that is a member of 1108 and NJASAP.

Furthermore, the vast majority of pilots are unionized for good reason as they well know. Managers and their union-busting cohorts typically work under a contract but actively try (telling lies left and right) to prevent pilots from exercising their legal right to do the same thing. What hypocrites! Yes, I've posted that point before, (it bears repeating) but it makes me disgusted every time I think of their hypocrisy...

I'm busy planning my family's vacation, ever conscious that many FltOps pilots and their families can't afford a vacation. There is absolutely no justifiable reason for management to withhold their contract. Doing so is evidence of short-sighted arrogance. The Sheering Gang is practicing their thuggery on those who played a major role in building the business the FLOPS are ruining. The gobs of money they're throwing away on their FUD campaign just proves over and over that a strong contract is a necessity if the pilots are going to protect their biggest investment from those who can (and obviously will) destroy their career on a whim. Hang in there, guys! NJW

You never answered dime line's question.

Kind of like B19?

Give me a dollar amount.

What should a FLOPS pilot earn?

You're right, sorry.
How 'bout $67,290?
Of course that all depends on which airframe you're on, how many hrs you have, etc...

Point is, probably no two pilots make the same so who cares?

I think you forgot to put a "1" in front of the 67,290...

$167,290 Thats pretty close to what I earn yr 10. So FLOPS guys of the same seniority should be somewhere in that range.

Wow.

Glad I don't work at FLOPS.

That is low.

Personally, I feel that is a good starting wage for a regional airline. Not a Fractional. We are gone longer, have more duties, and have to be able to think on our feet.

I care. Very much. Unlike you and our mis-managment team.

You've shown your true colors here, Skumza. First, you've proven that you endorse lowering the maintenance bar to an unsafe - let alone unairworthy - level on FlOps aircraft. Now, you've shown your willingness to see the bar lowered even further on compensation. I'm pretty sure you can find just the environment you're seeking in a night-freight operator somewhere. Pehaps when you hit that magic 1200 hour total-time mark and can get a 135-PIC checkout, you'll get your wish.

The clientele we fly want uber-safe, airworthy airplanes crewed by happy, well rested, fairly compensated pilots. I challenge you to find any of them that would say different.

Nice job folks. I figured pulling a random number out of my uh... behind, would stir quite a bit. And it caused some to give up their salaries. Really, this is a silly message board and I don't expect to see any accurate numbers here (salary, hrs flown, types of aircraft flown, etc...). EVERYBODY is bs'ing everybody else.
So my answer to "how much should a FLOPS pilot earn?" is not relevant in terms of a dollar figure as everybody's going to be different.
But thanks for humoring me.
