Training can be negotiable without contract being signed. Competitive salary, health, IRA, vacation benefits. i work with a guy who used to work there. sounds like it's your typical 135 stuff. he flew a baron, i believe. was only there about a year, though, and ate a big chunk of his contract to come to xjet. aside from that part of the equation, he said it really wasn't a bad operation.

If they had promised good looking flight attendants somehow, they would have just thrown a line out to reel you in with the 3 biggest lies in aviation. 2/3 ain't bad.

...just kidding. There are 3 of us that worked there on this board. As I left I hated the place. They wanted us to break work/rest rules all the time! You had to sign a $10,000 "training contract" that said you would give them a year in exchange for their training. If you leave early, you owe them the 10 Grand. You have to live in Festus Missouri, abut 40 minutes south of St. Louis. Pretty country, but a miserable little river town with river people. Call out to BE IN THE AIRPLANE is 15 minutes. Maintenance was okay, but they would complain if you used the de-ice boots on the Barons. Said they weren't meant to be used all the time in icing. They'd complain (and I mean jump around like silver-back apes smashing tree branches and stuff) if you actually wrote something up in the aircraft log.

You'll get your mult-time, you'll learn how to say "no" and you'll get good experience. But have NO ILLUSIONS about the company. It's a miserable little mom and pop operation where everyone distrusts everyone (family included) and they'll assume you're incompetent.

I'm away from that place for nearly 3 years now and still am grateful I don't work there anymore. ...but it did get me my current job.

Soo.... it's up to you. Is it worth it?

Brett? Shafted? You're turn to chime in.

Wow, how ironic! A Multi-Aero owned and operated Lear 24 just crashed this morning shortly after takeoff from St. Louis. All four people walked away with apparently minor injuries, though I think one of the pilots had head injuries. The plane was destroyed by the ensuing fire. The pilots did a great job putting it down in a field in an area surrounded by trees and farm buildings without any fatalities and minimal casaulties!

I'm surprised that thing was flying. It's a hanger queen that's as old as the hills. It would sit in the hanger with buckets underneath it to collect the fuel that would leak out of it. The owner/chief pilot was trying to save money and gas by cutting close to a thunderstorm a few years ago. The resulting hail peppered the leading edges of the wing and nose.

PERFECT!! This is a window on the typical operation of Mult-Aero.

Still need the time that bad?

S.

P.S. That's the 4th wreck I can think of in the past 3 years. Luckily only one person was killed a few years ago.

Here I am Beechnut

What's up man. Once again, you're right on the $$$$$

I got an e-mail from the guy doing the POF ups route (DB, don't know if you knew him or not). He said the boss is the one in the hospital with the head injury. Don't know how serious, though. Still waiting on word of who was in the right seat.

I know we've been saying this for years now, but I'm guessing that this will be the end.

I'm sitting in RDU now, and found it on Yahoo when I sat down here to check my e-mail. How creepy is that?

BTW, for everyone else, I was in Recurrent when the hail attack happened. It wasn't me.

They have the names of the pilots in the other news article I posted in the thread about the accident itself.

"...pilot Shane Storz, and co-pilot Mike Walden..."

Yeah, I've been listening to St.Louis radio on the internet. Pilot is in "fair" condition. Co-pilot may have a broken wrist.

Hey Brett Hull, was co-pilot around when we were there? Name sounds familiar....

I don't remember if he started before or after you left. He and I flew together for about 6 months (i think) before I left. He's a good guy.
