prob. awarded same as a recall. they go down the list, and offer a position out west. Seniority order takes it...

The bid award is out. These are the openings that will be filled by the recalls:

4 - DCA 737
13 - PHL 737
15 - PHL E190
11 - LGA Airbus
2 - BOS Airbus

45 recalls....

How are you coming up with 45 recalls, what is your source or method?

The December bid had 15 recalls. That was messed up by a delay in the 190 deliveries. This latest bid for Jan. had 30 recalls. Basically the company re-ran the Dec bid along with the latest one. That information came from Charmane in the Flt. Dept. The bid award is posted on the ALPA site and lists all positions at Airways. There are 45 blank FO positions yet to be filled. These are currently being filled. The final award with these positions filled should be out in about a week...

Which I think basically translates to, the 15 recalls will be able to move off the 190 immediately??? goto a narrow body, then the 30 recalls will be split between the 15 190 positions, and what's left over. hence how there are 45 openings.

In essence, that is true. Since the 15 recalls to the 190 did not start training, they are not frozen yet and they may accept a group II aircraft if it is still available when they get to that pilots number. They will start at the top of the list to fill these 45 positions. The 15 that accepted the 190 were not allowed to bid as an active pilot. They basically joined the additional 30 recalls and made this recall a single event that will fill 45 positions.
