ASA is starting Guadalajara on June 8th and a few more Mexican locations soon. Could these be where the new 705's/900's will be going?

Atlanta-Leon, Mexico will be re-introduced in December, daily ASA CRJ. ASA will also supplement (and during parts of the year replace) mainline service on ATL-CZM and ATL-MID. Atlanta-Merida has been performing horrendously. If ASA doesn't make it work, the route is good as gone.

Unfortunately, I hear ASA won't be receiving the 900's now, and deliveries have been cancelled or delayed due to contract talks breaking off. Actually, I would look for them to go to Skywest or maybe even Mesa. look, they will fly them for a lot less, and already have a rate and cost structure. ASA does not have that, and I do not believe will receive them.

Those aircraft were in exchange for 17 700s. Does that mean we are keeping the original 700s or are we losing aircraft altogether?

900's are going to SLC.

Probably worse case of losing the 900's and more 70's. Uncle Jerry is punishing us and managment for not getting the contract done.

Good. They can have them. Put 99 seats in them and have them flown for 50 seat rates. Maybe SkyWest had a plan all along to steadily transfer assets until ASA is a smoking hole. No one will miss it.

They still make more than you!

:mad:Well uncle Jerry will drop a log when we pass a STRIKE VOTE by more than 97%. A lot of airplanes sitting not good for ANYONE!!

Maybe they can put 99 seats in them and fly them for UAL (I doubt it though), but not for DL. Nope. So, will SkyWest guys like a JFK base or an ATL base? That would be fun.

Quit speaking in absolutes General. You haven't held a line yet. You just cave and then blame it on everyone else. It's tiresome.

Not till the next round of cuts.

Wow, you guys are all robots. And Russ, where is that pay raise you had? The full 2%? It is gone now too. Wow, you sure showed JA...... Can't wait to see those CRJ705s flying around in SkyWest colors....What are the pay rates on those anyway? Same as the 50 seater? You should talk about pay cuts, you will be next after ASA......."to keep the flying before it is farmed out to Mesa...." Just watch. And you make fun of us for actually getting a pretty good TA in BK. You aren't even in BK and can't do squat....NOPE.

Get used to it or put me on ignore. I am not going anywhere, and you don't bring anything to the table. Nada.

Cave? We did great for our position. We did, and 61% agreed with me. You are ABSOLUTELY a loser.

A guy with just shy of 7000 posts on flightinfo is calling me a loser. Intriguing.

Jerry will start to transfer planes to SkyWest so there might not be alot of airplanes parked .

What's even funnier is when he starts arguing with himself...

General, you used to bring interesting, insightful debate to the table. Lately, all you do is speak in absolute statements and call names. Pretty soon you are gonna end up like DorkAngelo. On everyone's ignore list with noone to post to.

Good! Then we can all get better jobs and I'll feel good about it.

Here are some more:

-200's out WEST????? (ASA base in LAX maybe????)

Delta Airlines carrier ASA has applied with the US DOT for nine routes between LAX and Mexico, with plans to operate the routes using CRJ-200 and -700 aircraft. The routes are as follows:

Eff. 01Dec06: La Paz and Loreto
Eff. 01Feb07: Hermosillo and Mazatlan
Eff. 06Mar07: Torreon
Eff. 08Mar07: Los Mochis
Eff. 13Mar07: Manzanillo and Zacatecas
Eff. 15Mar07: Culiacan

You adamantly claimed you and 50.1% of your buddies agreed with the other side of the vote, right up until you voted the other way.

In other words, "Caved."

Go run home now Jen, you have lost what little was left of your credibility.

I can envision "Delta Connection by ASA operated by SkyWest" out of LAX.

That's a lot of words to fit on the side of an airplane.

Where is ALPA on these issues of "transfer of flying"?

It's one thing for third party carriers to bid on growth flying like what had been happening at DCI. But now regional carriers are bidding to take flying away from other carriers, ala XJT, OH, etc, and there is no response or clarification from ALPA.

To me bidding to replace other flying is not just replacing airplanes but pilots. And replacement work is scab work. As a pilot I'm not only concerned about losing my job to scabs, but being used by my mgmt to be scabbed-out somewhere else. Where is ALPA, and where are we in all this? JA is very close to being a scab CEO and his own people (ASA included) are being insidiously(sic) drawn in.

So are you saying if ASA strikes then Skywest pilots are going to man the aircraft and routes. That would be intresting... SCABS

By the time you strike you won't have any planes or routes.

Kind makes you think, SLC closes by the end of the year, these routes start early next year LAX. SKW is limited to what it can do in LAX by UAL.

MELIT is one of those pilot-hating mechanics. He's always trying to stir crap up. Not much of a mechanic so he just MEL's it.
