Not intended to offend but:

"premium" isn't a real accurate description. You get paid your same daily rate for the additional days worked.

Not really a "premium" since it isn't time and a half or anything else extra.

It's not the same daily rate. Not 1.5 either, but the daily rate is higher on the 18 (slightly) and 15 (a little more so) than the 7/7. The 15 has the highest daily rate of the schedules, which also translates to higher overtime, holiday pay, after midnight, etc.

I stand corrected - just did a little computing

sorry 'bout the bad info. That's what I get for taking someone else's word for it instead of checking it for myself.

For those who responded to my initial questions thanks for the help.

I have a few more questions now...

What are the chances of getting a medium sized aircraft as a new hire (G-200, Hawker 4000,...)? Are the aircraft awarded strictly by need at the time of hire? Does a new hire have any say in which aircraft he gets awarded if there is a choice? Sorry to ask this -- this was covered in another thread, but not very clearly.

How often do you get trips that take you out of the lower 48 states? Rarely, once a month, once a year, all the time?

When is the last time you had a really cool overnight? Where?

What's your smallest Cockpit? I am 6'2'' and 200 pounds. Would I be cramped? I know that's a stupid question, but I went straight from a 141 school to the regionals back in 99 when hiring was nuts so I am really sheltered.

Thanks a million. I promise to do a good job swingin gear if I get hired.

What are the chances of getting a medium sized aircraft as a new hire (G-200, Hawker 4000,...)? 33.333333333% Are the aircraft awarded strictly by need at the time of hire? Yes Does a new hire have any say in which aircraft he gets awarded if there is a choice? Not really. They may offer you several airplanes, then you get to choose from the offers. Sorry to ask this -- this was covered in another thread, but not very clearly.

How often do you get trips that take you out of the lower 48 states? It depends on the fleet. If you get a small cabin, you'll go international 10 times a year maybe. If a midsize or large cabin, several times a tour. Rarely, once a month, once a year, all the time?

When is the last time you had a really cool overnight? Where? How does the Hilton at Cabo sound?

What's your smallest Cockpit? 400XP or Ultra. I'm 6'0" and 250 lbs and fly the Ultra. Would I like a larger cockpit? Sure. Do I want a 6 hour flight? Nope. I am 6'2'' and 200 pounds. Would I be cramped? I know that's a stupid question, but I went straight from a 141 school to the regionals back in 99 when hiring was nuts so I am really sheltered.

Good luck. If you are worried about the size of the planes, I recommend going to your local FBO and ask some of the pilots to take a look at the plane (I would bring your 121 ID so they don't think you're a terrorist). Most of us are pretty cool, and with the proper persuasion ($50 should do it) would be happy to show you around.

aeropaharoh, the 18 reserve shedule is given to all new hire's and can only be taken away during the flush bid once a year.

Ben,

Not exactly! New Hires can bid for any of the three schedule types once they complete the INE training event -- including the required days off. Obviously, a New Hire pilot may only bid for any of the three schedule types during any of the three regular bidding windows we have a year. Said New Hire pilot will not be placed on the new schedule until the completion of IOE.

I hope this helps,

well i did say they could rebid quarterly in the next sentence but the info added is much more specific.

NetJets is on trimesters not for schedule bids, not quarters.

I appreciate all the good info. Sounds like a great system. better than the 2 hour call system I am currently operating under. Thanks again
