Take a look at D-27. There are 5 brown boxes that contain the jet ramps for ERJ's to be added to D concourse.

With the current pace of ASA's ALPA negotiations (strike authorization 4 years after amendable date.....only about 3 years too late), by the time ASA pilots strike, all the flying will have been transferred to other "portfolio" carriers.

Strike will be a non-event and spell the end of ASA.

LeBrecque will be considered a hero for busting another union. He will be promoted to COO of DCI and given a massive stock/bonus package from SKYW.

It doesn't really matter. ASA is operating 400 flights a day (plus or minus), the rest of DCI is doing about 60. If they use CHQ, Mesa, whoever, they aren't getting more flights, they're just shifting them around.

ASA is guaranteed 80% of the departures from ATL as part of the DAL purchase agreement with SKW.

TX DFW - ever stop to think that Freedom is their, because Skywest is taking delevery of CRJ's that were going to ASA. Is ASA actually loosing flying to Freedom or is the Freedom flying newstuff?

Their or there, it changes the whole meaning of that sentence?

As for SkyWest taking deliveries of ASA aircraft, sounds like you've bought the whole argument hook, line and sinker. I would truly be amazed if Delta decided last week that because of our 'excessive' crew costs, they need to put the 900's in SLC as opposed to ATL. $300 million in new aircraft, and on a whim, they decide to move them to 'help' keep costs down. Those aircraft where targeted months ago, SkyWest is just using that to its advantage to lower other costs. Get with it man.

By Scott Hall and Sam Watts own admission the other day in the "Charlie Tutt Talks", the 900's were being placed in SLC because of the poor performance of the E170's that are flying out of there. According to them the E-Jets don't have the necessary range and aren't performing quite as well as advertised by the manufacturer.

Take it for what its worth....

Good point. At ASA we're upset about other carriers getting DCI growth flying, but we were all excited about the possibilty of taking flying away from xjet. It goes to show how bad the culture of the regional industry has become. It's hard to be loyal because noone knows who to be loyal to, and everyone is on the defensive against everyone else. Until there is some common ground and unity it's gonna get worse.

Good point, but don't assume that SKYW and DL could not change the agreement by mutual consent any time they wanted. In fact, I expect Skywest to be the beneficiary of the contract language before it is all over.

Was ASA guaranteed 80% of the flying or Skywest? Is there any provision for DAL to back out of that guarantee in the event Skywest is unable comply with its end of the deal, ie. provide the SJ lift. Can Skywest renegotiate that guarantee in the event that ASA can't provide the lift and transfer the flying to either Skywest or a third party?

I wish you guys the best, I'm not trying to flame, but these are questions I'd be interested in knowing the answers to if I were at ASA.

As long as they don't mess with Porn Star parking (C24)! An F/O corrected me last year when I stated Rock Star (which is C23).

Ever think that Skywest does not want to grow ASA due to contract neg. I would not be surprised if you see Skywest 900's in ATL. I think they were targeted when (if not before) Skywest bought ASA. It sucks that you guys are having classes canceled, when Skywest is having open houses. Its not right to blame your problems on Freedom. I am pretty sure those guys would rather be in CLT. Your the one that needs to get with it. And you should change your name to something other than Smacktard - is that your brokeback pilot call sign?

Of course they want us to grow. What, are you naive enough to think that they would shrink us and make less money just to get back at pilots?

As for the 900's coming to Atlanta, they can do it, just not as much as they'd like to. Remember, ASA gets 80% of Atlanta flying, so for the 60 or so flights (a day) that other DCI carriers are getting out of Atlanta, they're not going to get too many flights in with those 900's. And to do it, they're going to bump some of the other guys out of Atlanta.

Plus, you have to factor in the 'real' difference in crew costs between companies. It will certainly cost SkyWest more to operate through Atlanta to do those flight (easily more expensive compared to crew cost differences). Since they closed SLC for ASA (for the very same reason) don't you think that it really goes to show the planes are going where Delta needs them, not where SkyWest can use them for long term union busting?

Yeah, I already said that, that was my point genius.

I don't recall making a comment in the thread you quoted about Freedom, what does this have to do with my response? I'm not concerned with Freedom, CHQ, or for the most part even SkyWest, my concern is with ASA and ASA managment.

That's not even a good crack. Is that the best you can do? Brokeback pilot call sign? What the hell are you talking about? Brokeback pilot call sign? That's gay. You need some new material. Wanna try a knock knock joke? Oh wait, I got one for you, your mom is such a dirty skank, that when I called her on the phone I got an ear infection...

No, I think I'll keep the name, it's much more fitting when I have to discuss issues with 'tards like you.

So that's why your thread quoted 'Smacktard'? That was the thread that I properly responded to. (You can look at the thread, even your original one, and look for the part that says "Originally posted by xxxxx".) As for the "FO's that know everything" comment, no, hardly. "ERAU", no, hardly. "Gay ass in ATL?" What's with the gay jokes, you're a little sensitive on that subject? Hiding something? Got something in the closet?

It's kinda funny, I respond to your post, taking each point and discrediting what you say. Not with insults, with logic. Yet you come back and jump into some personal insults that have nothing to do with what you said. You apparently can't stand on what you wrote or you would counter with some more of your 'logic'. What, did my momma joke make you mad? Come on, show us some of your command intelligence.

Wow. May I suggest the decaf?

For the record: some of the most insightful comments on this board come from FOs. You'll also find that many of them are quite good at spelling.

Freedom is in ATL because SKW is getting 900's? Why doesn't SKW just come to ATL? I'm sick of commuting anyways. I'll be sporting my body armor as I walk throught the terminal.
