I was reading the TA Bullet points and a few things jumped out at me. (I just got off a 4 day and picked up a copy in the lounge)

Here they are:

1. Work rules: a) Flex cap between 75-82 hours starting 1 Jan, 05
b) 70 hour fixed reserve guarantee
c) 11 / 12 days off depending on month, and an extra day also
d) 8 short calls per month
e) PBS bidding NLT 1 OCT 05

2. Pay a) 32.5% pay cut Dec 1st
b) still additional INTL pay and Night pay
c) Per diem $2.10 Dom and $2.50 INTL
d) new pay rate for 737-900
e) Pay rate for 737-700 will be same as 737-300

3. Scope a) Alaska Airlines code share like CO/NW
b) Increase RJ70 up to possible 150
c) Preferential hiring for furloughed Delta pilots at carriers with
additional RJ70s, and preferential interviews at Delta for
pilots at those carriers
d) No furlough clause gone, but other rules to modify rules for
furlough, and 90 notice prior if one should occur
e) Furlough recall schedule updated and extended to 2008

4. Misc. a) Pilot director on Board of Directors, with no voting rights
b) Jumpseat--reciprocal jumpseat agreement now with AA and
Southwest, eventually expanded
c) CASS within 9 months (Also unlimited jumpseat I believe)

5. Retirement and Insurance a)Freeze Defined Benefit plan seeking to result in approx 49% FAE (was 60% until Dec 1st)
b) increased medical premiums

Well, that all I can muster currently. I do believe that after Malone and Wycoff give their road show there will be some time to reflect (on how good we had it) and eventually it will go to a vote and then---who knows? I have a feeling that it may pass....... This industry ain't solid right now, and I think we all know that...

General Lee- I know the financial impact is going to be widespread, especially for those that are facing a base closure!

I am keeping every Delta family (and the wholly owned:) ) in my prayers. God bless and cheers- Wil

Interesting to note the 737-700 and 737-900 pay rates have been added to the TA. Does that indicate that the EMB-190 is out of the running for the proposed 100 seater? Certainly adding another fleet type would add to training/maintenance expense - not good during a turnaround. I suppose adding the 190 would also require even more "painful" pay rate negotiating (it hasn't been negotiated yet or included as a possibilty in the TA as far as I know).

Too bad - I am a big fan of the new Embraer - it sure beats the he!l out of those tubular CRJ-700/900s... I suppose the 737-700 is as, if not more, comfortable than the 190 in the end anyway...

Good grief. What do you do when there is a real disaster? My prayers go to kids with brain cancer and the surgeons who work with them.

You are officially off my Christmas list.....And Wil gets your presents!(and unfortunately there will be 32.5% less presents this year---but not for Wil--he gets an extra 15%)

ASA/Comair gets the RJ's. The DAL pilots have agreed to let their regional fly upto 150 70 seaters. This doubles their current capacity (big loss of seats) IMHO DAL mgt had to do this, they are in bed with Bombardier and apparently the 90 seat rj is a loser so they really had no alternative.

In turn the above 70 seat flying will go to the DAL pilots in newly created 737/700/900 pay rates. This is a big gain for the DAL pilots. Because they will be flying around in the larger 737's, while the AA/NWA pilots will be flying around in the smaller ERJ 195 at the lower 170 pay rates.

I don't know which is better, only time will tell.

Small point of semantics but the DAL Pilots have NOT "agreed to let their regionals fly up to 150 70 seaters". The negotiating committee made the agreement. It is not final until all the votes are counted. The Mainline Group could very well NOT agree to it. Don't count the votes till they are in.

Did I just read G4G5's post correctly?

Comair has a CHANCE of getting more 70 seaters or WILL get more 70 seaters?
So the 70 seaters will not go to MESA and CHQ??

I BET Comair management will come to Comair pilots again with a paycut proposal, and if Comair pilots take a paycut they may get SOME of the 70 seaters otherwise ASA or the others will get them all.

For what it's worth ......

o 50% of all Delta Air Lines Inc (mainline ASA, Comair, and all of DCI flying) flying that must be accomplished by the mainline
o 25% of flying of all of Delta Air Lines Inc. flying must be accomplished by ASA and Comair as long as both are wholly owned affiliates

Also, there is to be a TOTAL of 150 70 seat RJs, and 57 have already been ordered or are on the property(?), and after 125 total--the other 25 can come after mainline increases flying 10,000 block hours per new RJ. So in reality, DCI was awared 68 new 70 seat RJs, and DCI will have to determine who will fly them and for what rates. That part has never been up to Dalpa.

Thank you?? What does that mean? What is with the "for your sake" part? Well, I hope to God (for YOUR SAKE) you wake up from your sleep tomorrow.......Also, I hope to GOD (FOR YOUR SAKE) that you DON'T slip in the shower and break your a$$ bone!

Man, that is screwed up. I simply hope and pray that you guys come out ok from this, and you come bashing me. You ever hear of Karma? WTF?

The for 'your sake' comments referred to the ink print of my resignation letter today. It will be turned in thursday. I have met a lot of good people from Delta, comair, and asa in the last three years. I will miss them, all. You need to think before you speak, you POS.

You feelin' the pressure general. You sellin' out? Pm me, I'll meet you anytime. Your own brothers say you're selling them out. Why don't you do everybody a favor and shut the fjuck up.

Having been down this road before...it'll be WORSE when they turn the bullets into contract language. There will be stuff in there and you'll say "Hey, they didn't tell us about THAT!"

FWIW.. I voted NO when it was my turn for this very reason.

DDpaysoff:

Chill brother, chill. The DAL group is having to lick their wounds and adjust to some pretty major changes. I know I'd be pretty salty in their shoes, with a pretty short fuse.

11 to 12 days off per month? That is what we had at ASA and Comair.

Pretty sad, but I am glad that DAL has avoided BK for now.

General, thanks for the info! Does this mean that we will soon see recalled guys from mainline at CMR? I would welcome that. We need them back on the line!

Dude, chill out. I admit the original wording on your message was a bit weird but now I understand what you are saying. There are a lot of emotions flowing around because of the TA and people need to take a step back and TRY to think rationally. For everyone on this board, breathe in, breathe out, breathe in....
