Looks like Delta wasn't immune to yesterdays pain either.

Delta Travelers Suffer Through Similar JFK Ordeal

(CBS) QUEENS Inside a home in Bayside, Queens on Thursday, two weary, angry you ladies were recovering from what they call their night in hell on Delta Airlines.

On Wednesday night, 17-year-olds Cally Nikolis and Alexandra Moshouris, along with their classmates, were boarding a Delta jet at Kennedy Airport expecting to fly to Greece.

They shot a home video documenting what they thought was going to be a smooth trip. What they got was an agonizing trip to nowhere. What they got was isolation on a plane stuck on a tarmac.

"It was really bad," Nikolis said.

"It was a nightmare," Moshouris added.

They said they were stuck on the plane for up to 11 hours.

You heard that right.

With the plane grounded after severe weather blasted in our area, and no chance to get off, Nikolis and Moshouris said the situation was compounded by little food, little water and little information.

"It's 2:20 in the morning and were still stuck on this (beep) plane," one said.

"Shame on them for treating people like that," one added.

"It's not humane to have people enclosed in a confined area for 10 hours," Cally's mother, Marie Nikolis, said.

On Wednesday afternoon, Cally and Alexandra returned to Delta to catch their rescheduled flight to Greece. They had "reservations" in more ways than one.

"I wanna go, but then again I don't want to go. I don't want this to happen again," Cally Nikolis said.

A spokespoerson for Delta tells CBS 2 the plane in question on Wednesday night never left the gate and passengers were free to get on and off the plane as they pleased.

Well, it was fifteen minutes longer than scheduled:

Every post in this thread is making me laugh my arse off!!!!!

Oh the irony, Mr. Parker.

Flying freight rules!

I figgered FJD2 or GLee would have posted this. They must be busy in divorce court.

Nope...they're busy putting in their bids for RJ900 Captain and setting up
a flow thru agreement with Skywest, the Generals favorite airline...Oh,wait no I forgot the General said Delta and Northwest are gonna merge. That's right. He's gonna be a DC9 reserve F/O out of DTW. "Hello, Fargo??...."

PHXFLYR:cool:

People with nicknames the same as cars don't even know where Fargo is. And rest assured it wasn't part of their school curriculum down that way.

With that being said, I'm fairly well General Lee read, and I think he is a pretty good sport....

....so I suspect when he is sitting airport or short-call rsv in DTW and shows at ops and prints out the release and sees KFAR in the header...I'm thinking he's pretty pumped 'cause he figures he's headed to the set of the FARGO SEQUEL and he REALLY dug that 'wood chipper' scene in the first one.

They like that $hit down south, ya know!

Enjoy

If this is true, why does this even make the news??? Oh yeah, cause a couple of people made a video and wanted to be on TV.

It's all about greed, people just want to sue each other ...

They don't blame other drivers or traffic authority when they're stuck in a massive traffic jam, yet they feel they have a right to blast an airline when there is a major snowstorm.

Amazing!

Next time they should take a boat to Greece.

ultrarunner

By the way....where is Fargo?

Naw man, why do you ask?

I just thought it was funny, in a funny kind of way, that JB is making the national news on all this, and yet the it was just a bad day all around, thus the same headline as the original JB thread.

I infer that you think I have something in for Delta, if so, not the case. Ok, maybe just the General (I kid). In all my jump seating experiences, Delta guys have been nothing but top notch and very good to me, and I try to return the favor when they jumpseat on my plane.

Back to the thread.

I think ten hours without food will only help these future JAP heffers. They should be thanking DAL for preventing them from stuffing there face with more McD's.

After these past few events, some idiot Democrats are now pushing even harder for a "passenger bill of rights" to include allowing any passenger the "right" to get off the airplane if it hasn't taking off within 3 hours after push. That's just a normal day in the NYC area.

I don't think Cally Nikolis or Alexandra Moshouris are either Japanese or Jewish American Princesses, so what sort of knee-jerk bigot are you? Do ya think they might be Greek, genius?

ok, am i the only person who saw this party of the story?

"A spokespoerson for Delta tells CBS 2 the plane in question on Wednesday night never left the gate and passengers were free to get on and off the plane as they pleased."

yet the women say this

"They said they were stuck on the plane for up to 11 hours."

of course it's just not a story if they're not 'trapped'....i call BS. i think this is just one of those situations where either the pax knew how to call media attention to themselves, or some reporter just wanted a copy cat story to go along with the jetblue story.

gimme a break, you're not trapped if there's an open door.

PK

Sorry didn't mean to offend any of the JAP's on this board. Having grown up in the NYC area, JAP is a cover all term for girls who behave and sound like that. Plus, it was a joke. Lighten up, Francis.

You weren't a social actions, PC control officer during your military years, were you?
