Let see:

ASA and SW make millions and don't want to share.

Give more 70's to SW.

Really make us mad and more ASA pilots will jump in the boat to strike.

Is that Acey stuff confirmed by anyone? It sure would be great, as I hate that call sign, its probably the worst one in aviation. But, I highly doubt it is changing.

Focus

Man, who cares about the darn call sign? We've finally got the controllers in all parts of the country understanding (for the most part) that it's "Candler" not "Chandler." We've got some other issues that are far more important at this time. Keep your eye on the prize!

WHy would the Skywest pilots do that????????? THey are loving this, reaping all the benefits of our sh!t sandwich. They are laughing, rolling around lighting cigars with $20 bills! While their guys are upgrading out of initial newhire training, our guys are facing 6-8 years in the right seat! So, why in the world would those guys give a sh!t what happens to us or our airplanes. I think they are saying "keep them coming"!!

What in the hell are you talking about??? Upgarading out of initial training?? Are you kidding me? You must get your information from a crystal ball or something. I dont think anyone at SkyWest wishes bad on the ASA guys. I have never heard ANY talk like that around SkyWest. Keep thinking that way if it helps you sleep at night.

Thats funny, I may have exaggerated a bit, but I had a SLW Capt in the JS a few months back that upgraded in 10 mos into the emb, and another who upgraded in the jet in under 2 years. My frustration lies in the guys who bemoan the ASA crew base in SLC, and don't tell me there arent those happy anytime a delivery previously slated for ASA goes to SKYW! I know it exists, because I've heard it with my own ears!

I'll say it.....I would be happy if we got the growth and not SKW, any of us would! We're obviously in competition here, so if we get some planes, good for us. And I know the SKW guys feel the same way.

My Captain heard it from a guy, who heard it from a guy.....

But seriously, the Captain I'm flying with this month heard it from a CP that we will be going back to Acee, Acey, however you spell it. And the CPs (or somebody higher up) are also putting in a request to ditch the SkyCap, I mean Pilot, hats. You heard it here first, unless someone posted it somewhere else!

no hats??? whats next windbreakers???

It's ASE in the controllers computer for Atlantic South East, but pronounced ACEY.

Whoa! Sorry, its late and I don't usually let him talk. OCD boy that is.

That's what I heard.

:rolleyes:No hats! Now the profession...dare I say that word, has taken a bad turn. NO HATS!! That sucks. Looking professional has always been something to be proud of and now the younger crowd does not want to mess up their hair. Give me a break! No wonder we have SJS in this industry!

yea because the public thinking your a skycap with your hat makes you look really professional!! Give me a break. I think they should do away with the epauletes too. Those things look really dorky. Im all for a sharp looking suit but the other stuff just looks silly. Heres to the future!

Let me guess you're bald?

Skycaps = FOD

Those hats are no more professional than those Burger King crowns the kids wear. I have seen numerous "professional looking Captains" running through the flight line chasing there cap because of APU, prop, or jet blast. One time, I had to grab a guy that was so worried about chasing his cap that he wasn't paying attention to the ATR prop just a few feet from him. There should be no hats worn on any tarmac or indoors, period. Of course if your a guy that just likes to look at yourself in the mirror when you gets those pretty laces on the brim, well then be my guest in the bathroom. You can stay there all day long.:pimp:

How many professional business men and women do you see wearing hats? They've got the nice suits and polished shoes, but don't wear hats. Hats are just outdated. Get rid of them!

It's actually going to be ACY this time, not ASE. Now I'll put my little OCD boy back to bed.

Why is that? Do they have to change our ICAO code every time we change the callsign?
