nice website. is there anything the pilots at Midex are doing other than walking a line?
What is the attitude around the teminal, cockpit towards management. I am not trying to stir the pot but I am curious when one gets bent over and says grab your ankles there is only so much pain one can take.

there is a group now that wants to decertify ALPA and join the teamsters. why them? who the f@#$ knows. it appears simply because the teamsters airline head honcho actually listened to us or something to that affect.

my guess is the remaining 100+ pilots will roll over and eat up anything timmy gives them as they will save "our jobs" when really they are simply deathly afraid of finding a new job.

I think the "6 in 6" dude has something to do with this decertification.

I am very glad I am leaving this outfit, what a disaster.

12,000 and change versus 400. I agree with you Wolf and am not shocked. They want you gone (MEC). A fundamental flaw in ALPA that it will never get right. Until ALPA wants to do things right in the name of labor, it will only do wrong for its own benefit of the majority.

Why DOH?

Why should pilots get a seniority windfall over pilots at another company just because they've been there longer?

Doesn't it make more sense to look at each merger individually and take into consideration the demographics of each airline?

How to integration two pilot groups fairly:
a. Preserve jobs.
b. Avoid windfalls to either group at the expense of the other.
c. Maintain or improve pre-merger pay and standard of living.
d. Maintain or improve pre-merger pilot status.
e. Minimize detrimental changes to career expectations.

EVERY TWA guy I flew with at Eagle would disagree with your assessment here. Funny thing that perspective, but yes a 1987 hire on the street, but a pre staple 2000 hire not, was quite unfair.
