Midwest pilots think all 717s will go by next year

Possible, but doubtful. Here's how I see it:

1. NW writes off investment.

2. Midwest needs more money. So don't ask NW for it.

3. Delta says keep it breathing.

4. TPG throws its part in. Finds Republic to throw in some, too, and get some parked airplanes flying.

5. DL/NW merger approved.

6. TPG sells gates and slots to DL

7. TPG takes money and shuts Midwest down. Republic secures DL flying out of MKE (scope permitting) for keeping Midwest alive.


I guess I doubt RAH really wants another certificate. Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong, though.

RE; Number 6. The gates belong to Milwaukee County and the "slots" belong to the U.S. Government. Neither one is an asset or "for sale". Sorry.
 
Sounds like propsync has it figured out. In any case, Midwest pilots are toast.

to answer your question; phasing all but 9 717's out of the fleet and republic pilots not MEH pilots are crewing the e-jet.
 
i heard that boeing took back 4 of the remaining 9 717's.
 
i saw a md 80 in dulles this moring. Are they keeping a few of those for charter? Best of luck to all of those involved from a former skyway pilot.

Toast is so blan and boring. I am more like a bagel or a toaster strudal. If there are any hotties who work for us I would refer to them as poptarts. I agree though. In any case I am a toaster strudal.
 
Just looked the Midwest time table. Horrific what that sorry excuse of a management team has done to a once great little airline.

Just strike, stop flying because you are going to lose your jobs anyway, might as well make the company go under. Midwest will end up being flown by republic and the E-170. Absolute ********************ing bull********************.

Agreed, might as well give them the finger on the way out.
 
Fornaro stated at the analyst conference in NY this week that Airtran will be back into MKE with a significant presence again in summer of 2009. They were happy with the revenue performance during the summer of 2008 and expect revenue environment to be better in MKE for summer 2009 due to reduced capacity.
