I'd knock out that ATP there Beefcake! No reason NOT to have it when you're sporting TWICE the total time required to take the check.

Latest rumors at Midex, we will be leasing quite a few 717 coming from an Australian carrier, I heard the company need few more 717's

Those are probably the 717's that AAI turned down becuase the cost of getting them up and running.. That rumor has been going around about those 717's for a long time at AAI.. The last thing I heard was that it wasn't price efficient for AAI to get those airplanes. Supposidly something had to be changed on them and it would have been very expensive... But hell, I could be wrong..

Got the call this afternoon any one else! PM me if you have an interview or know about the process Thanks.:)

Congrats BYM

I have been hearing a very strong rumor about the A320, apparently its very hard to even get used 737, plus more 717 from Australia.

no they arent... we syxers in the pool are on hold due to staffing shortages....there are 5 of us taking it for the team!

I applied on 3/9. Got the call for an interview yesterday on 3/21. My interview is on 4/12. I don't know anyone over there. I am a regional captain with about 650 hours of 121 turbine PIC, 800 hours of total turbine PIC, and 3500 total time. I just applied and got lucky I guess. Now I just need to get the job.

very simular story here. Put in an application about a week ago, got called on Monday afternoon. Interview is on the 29th. I know noone, do not have 1000pic yet, But I do live in MKE. I kind of wish I had a bit more time, 6 days to prepare for an interview that I was not expecting while sitting on reserve in PHL. This is going to be a long week.

How did you guys apply? Through the application system on the Midwest website, or through Avianation or via email?

The application system wouldn't allow me to create a profile, but you can send application through Avianation fine.

Any idea what competitive times are? I see a lot of you guys have jet pic, I dont; 3300TT, 2450PIC, 1500 ME, 1170 Turb+Jet

First year pay is about 41$/hr.I have heard that people make about 40K first year.( incl. per diem and flying about 80 hrs.)

does anyone know how many they are going to hire this year? Is the current hiring just for the 2 md-80's they just picked up? Is there a growth plan outside of the 50 seaters?
