Hey Citationlover...how many people have been leaving Midwest lately for "greener pastures"? Any idea when they will actually do interviews for those classes in early '08?

Why in the hell would you want to come to Midwest right now? unless you want to retire flying the right seat, then come on over :)

And, Yes I had two beers

I know that 2 guys left recently for sure (Continental and NWA).

this is speculation...

i would imagine the january and half the february class are already filled with the pool.

they are interviewing through mid december and will pick it back up after the holidays. don (the chief pilot) is telling those at the interviews that through attrition and retirements they expect to hire 25 people in 2008.

from an internal newsletter, an article don wrote
...We are planning on attrition and retirees to initiate hiring about 25 new hires for 2008....

now now flywolf, you live in wisconsin? if so, two beers is pretty lightweight for that state. :)

the NWA guy was one of a couple who helped me out getting in. his dad was a NWA CA and thats where he always wanted to go.

the Continental guy lived near EWR was my understanding.

a fellow Chicagoan and about 1yr seniority 717 FO is leaving for United also at the beginning of December.

the important thing to me, all senior to me.

Thanks for everybodys response. Definetly interested in Midwest. I noticed they did take down the posting for First Officer on the website. It had been awhile since I had checked so Im not sure when they took it down. That is why I was curious when they would start up interviews again and/or open the window again. I'm sure it will be after the holiday's.
