AAI is parking 717's.....

Not sure where you're getting that information. We sold a single 717 to Hawaiian. That's it. We still have 86 717s, and no current plans to park any of them.

Great, we are already starting the red vs green show part II. Better get the merger committees going on this arbitration.

No, he's right. We're parking them on Concourse C, D, and sometimes E...not to mention all the other cities we park them at.;)

I pulled up the a/c plot the other day to look at some tail #'s and saw a few 717's with long parking times(a couple of months) listed in MCO....has anyone seen a few parked down there?

No the 9 is going away. The replacement for that flying is Next Gen RJ's as stated in the argument outlined this week.
A 717 would be additional a/c. This will be the business stance.

The DC9's CAN NOT be replaced solely by "RJ's" it is in OUR, meaning DAL's, scope language. Its no secret that it couldn't be done under the NWA scope and now it cant be done under the DAL language. That is after all why we have scope language. (Should have been better language but none the less its there)

You know, this merger wasn't created to "fix" the mess the redbooks made with the greenbooks. Just because there is a lot of very senior narrowbody Captains at NWA doesn't mean they should just "slip" into one of our new 777s. That would be a "redbook" pilot's wet dream----those darn greenbooks can just avoid our NWA widebodies and go to ATL and fly something big over there....

Bye Bye--General Lee

General,

I never said that this merger should/would fix the red/green debacle. What I said is that this thread is already sounding like the red/green show part II, meaning that every single airplane that is parked or added is arbitrated as to whether it is a replacement or new equipment.
