Flight Jobs Update

Dear Jobseeker
Despite the global economic slowdown aviation companies in the Middle East continue to look long term, with many following ambitious growth plans for the next 10 years. And in the shorter term Middle East operators are recruiting, just more selectively. Such an operator is Gulf Air who is moving forward with it’s “3/3/10” long-term expansion plan to add three aircraft, three destinations and 10% capacity growth each year.

Gulf Air are by no means alone in their ambitious growth plans. Etihad, based in Abu Dhabi, has 745 pilots and expects to recruit up to 70 more this year. Whilst Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive of Qatar Airways, says
“We are not going to slow down. Qatar Airways is very clever at shifting capacity and having the courage to source new markets. We are redeploying our capacity, adding destinations and increasing frequencies to existing points”.

Whether you are looking for flight crew, maintenance, engineering or cabin crew opportunities, many of the aviation hubs in the Middle East offer very competitive remuneration packages and great quality of life.
