I'm not sure which part you don't understand so hopefully this'll clarify: IMHO Moore's intent is to entertain, make money, provoke thought, and in the process help to send Dubya back to Texas.

This is getting boring so I'll concede the argument with the following: all anti-Bush people are liars and all pro-Bush people are righteous. Oops, I just lied. Hmm.

Dude

And that proves what?

That you can cut and paste?

It proves that MM is not very truthfull. It also demostrates that I AM very familiar with the assertions that MM put forth in his film.

In reference to the cut and paste....yup. I took it from one of my own posts. Like I said, we've already been over this.

I guess not.

You're a partisan who believes anything that a leftist, Democrat, Liberal or Socialist feeds you, but when a Conservative refutes what is said with facts and you start losing the debate, you refuse to even consider his arguments, call him uninformed and insinuate that he's a mindless robot.

Liberal S.O.P.:D

This "closed-minded-conservative" HAS considered the alternative veiwpoints....My "Bowling for Columbine" DVD sits on top of my television as we speak. When I watched it, I was suspicious of it's statements and content...I checked the facts..and learned that my BS meter being pegged was not the result of malfunctioning equipment.

The evidence is out there....why do you refuse to refute it? Both of you fellas have stood up for everything but MM's truthfulness, and that's what I'm questioning.....so what are we arguing about?

I don't think MM is objective, as a matter of fact, he is subjective as heck. He sees some things in way you think are wrong, but hey, that is how it works.

I think most people are subjective as heck, that is just how it goes.

Still, you must admit, that some of the stuff in his movies is funny and interesting. Bowling for Columbine is intended to, amongst other things, show how, compared to the rest of the world, the US is gun crazy. Yes, I know we have te right to bear arms, blah, blah, blah. Good great, go get one. Still, I just think it is funny seeing the Michigan Militia walking around, saying they are just normal, camo, rations and all. Saying that if you do not have a weapon, you are unpatriotic.

I think it is funny, that people get a gun for opening up a bank account. I think it is funny, having McVeigh argue about what weapons people can own and interesting to hear his view on goverment.

Yes, it is intended to create controversy and does gloss over the some of the truth, but so it is with most of what you read, see or hear. It is up to you, to sort the truth from the chaff.

how anything mike moore makes into a documentary makes it to a post on this board is beyond me. I say, save a whale, harpoon a fat dude!

So says the man, with an avatar of a young looking girl firing a semi automatic or is it fully automatic?:)
