Call sign "Biscayne", they have 737-800s and do mostly charters. They do have a contract with Martinair Holland to fly the continuation flights from MIA to San Jose, Costa Rica. (The Martinair flights originate in AMS with 767ERs) I also think they had a recent contract flying Airtran painted 738s for them from ATL to FLL? Anyway, they do a lot of charters for football teams etc...

Bye Bye--General Lee

aha...i was curious as to why this question got brought up, then today i just happened to bump into the dec 04 issue of Air Jobs Digest :)

Can anyone give examples of where they fly? I heard from somebody that they fly the 737-800s across the pond on MAC flights. I have seen them doing the football charters.

Don't think they're ETOPS, so across the pond is probably out, but they have been flying into Gitmo, and some domestice military charters.

I have seen Miami Air folks in Iceland, so they must be approved for overwater ops of some kind. This particular crew was continuing on to Germany I think. Very nice equipment, but that is all I know.

The temporary deal AirTran had with Miami Air to augment service between ATL and FLL has expired. It was only in effect for a few months in order to fill a gap in the schedule.
