CVG based... hahahaha
Okay, I was only TDY out there, but they do like to make you work your shift. Hopefully, they will be going onto, or have already gone onto a 3 on 1 off sched. I made the mistake of asking if I would be getting the weekend off, I was laughed at, and the joke was retold several times to all the pilots.
But there are plusses, of course (I'm not really a negative type of guy). You will get lots of flight time during your stay. Also, my buddy is based there and I've heard he's moving into the Emb120. He was there for 3 months after moving into the Metro. And another upside, in my 15 days of TDY, CVG and PIT were the only airports I landed at more than once.
In CVG all the metros are heavy, and one is extra heavy, meaning they've reinforced the flooring so it can take a higher lbs/sq foot loading. Oh... another plus, the loading is usually palletized so it is SOOOO easy to load. Just don't drop the thing on its tail (my first metro with a tail stand!!! wooohooo. I thought I was done with that, but there it was).
I'm sure that you've already done the research and know all of this though, so I'm just wasting my time. Have fun, it's a great airplane and all the guys at CVG are good.
