Beats me. Glad you realize that's borrowed money. You wouldn't believe how many Mesa pilots don't know that. OTHERWISE:

Don't care. Don't care. Don't care. Did I mention I don't care?

Hurry up and put Go! out of business so you Aloha/Hawaiian pilots can get back to competing against each other, gouging the locals, and finding someone else to blame your toilet-grade stock on. (not that Mesa's stock ain't in the crapper as well)

Your pride in your employer is misplaced. One day when you grow up and work for a real company you'll understand how petty you are proving yourself to be.

I just think it's funny how people assume that because Bethune is joining the board, he must be running the airline! Have you noticed how many other boards he is on? It's what former execs do! They join boards, collect paychecks and get even richer.....I hope GO! fails as much as everyone else, but not sure Gordy joining a board means a windfall for a island tradition, and a death to an island plague....cheers!

re: my last post... :)

I love how you guys bash pilots for working for a company like Mesa or Go jets or what not. .
GROW UP!
You guys are SUPPOSSED to be the so called respected airline pilots in charge with the safe carriage of many lives. . . Its sad to see the responses here at times, I feel embarrassed as fellow pilot at the mindless responses. .
Pilots are just doing what they can do get their time and move on. . .we should respect each other

So Sophmoric!

Let me guess... you have resumes in at G0jets and Mesa.

Gonna have to agree with labbats on this one....you must have resumes out at Go Jet and Mesa. "pilots doing what they can do to get thier time" is the exact thing that is killing this job. What you guys that aren't in the regionals yet, or within the 1st year of being in a regional don't get are that there really isnt that much movement to bigger and better thing right now and that the years spent at the regional level are gonna be long and hard. There are now guys that a few years ago were ready to go to the majors then saw the door close. Now they have been a regional captain 5 years longer and are 5 years older and can't afford to take the "pay cut" for the first few years of being a FO again, or feel that they are too old to be able to make captain at a major, etc. Either way these guys are now looking at the fact that they might be retiring from a regional. And not just these guys, but young people like us are gonna spend lots of time here in the regionals (My 4 year anniv is right around the corner) and we need to make sure that we get contracts that we can work under for up to 10 years. If you have contracts like Mesa and Go Jet then it is hard for the other regional MECs to get quality CBAs because their management will be like well Mesa and Go Jet will do it for this what makes you guys think you need to be paid that much. Or they dont have trip and duty rigs, or paid holidays, and only get 8 days off a month what makes you guys think you need more than that. Anyways thats why there is so much hate for the Mesa guys here...the Go Jet story is different, but you can do a search and find out more than you ever wanted to know.

Great Corn Hole - You have no ideal what the Mesa contract is the way it is. Which suprises me, because it looks like you work for TSA. MAG did the same thing to the Mesa Pilots with Freedom A list , that GoJets is doing to TSA.

Agreed but with that being said the man does have a fairly reputable track record up to this point. CAL was not in good shape until he took the reigns if i remember correctly.

Because of Gordon CAL has the lowest cash reserve of any major airline and some of the largests debts... Yeah, they are posting profits and hiring pilots but it's really about clever financing and the boatload of money they got when they sent ExpressJet sailing on an IPO.

Maybe they would have been better off with Lorenzo?

Does Lorenzo work at Aloha? Is Aloha curentley stricken with Lorenzo style work rules, quality cuts, and customer service???

Didn't think so.
