No XJ hawk, the regionals need to join the mainline. This is the way to stop the slide. Once a regional pilot hits the mainline, he will no longer accept low wages.

Classic! I almost spit out a mouth full of coffee when I read that one.

I'de like to say your doing a realy damn good job of ending the regional. Thanks for being the becon of hope in this perilous time Pilot Friend. Ehn in actuality all you're guys are trying to do is save pension, and scope by giving up your wages and benifits with nothing in writing from managment saying that the wage cuts will do it. You guys shot yourself in the foot, so don't come looking to Mesaba, 9E, or anywhere else asking us to take a 5 year furlough so you can still have a job. You guys were sure agianst flow throughs when times were good, but now that there bad, it's good for us to accept a flow back contract .

In the all pilot groups in the NWA system are going to get one form of screwing or another, but I'de rather make them kick me out the door then lay down on the railroad tracks willingly.

The proposal is, if you step into a jet outside of the scope agreement, you become a NWA pilot or you will flow up to a NWA pilot. Management, is not going to like this, however, thats what they are going to get. Once you step foot into one of those 76 seat crj's you will get in line for the 747. Trust me, it's a good deal because NWA pilots on furlough are not going to go back until they can hold a mainline spot. Only a few who are currently without any other options will flow back, last time i checked it was about 25 or so. Wait and see what happens in a few weeks with the furloughs at NWA anyway. There might be an announcement.

??????????????

Where did you hear that proposal? Flow back???

NWA pilots on furlough do not have to give up mainline numbers.

I think you are confusing the issuses.

What 76 seat jets are you talking about? We can't pay our bills there are no

jets showing up soon. The company will keep trying to lower all our pay

using "new" jets is a tired old ploy.

FlyingFerris:

It was YOUR mgt that was against the flowthrough not

NWA pilots! It is easy to blame us but it is not true.

Flow through/back will never happen. Mgt is against it.

Anwser me this question. Why did you start working at XJ and why are you still working there?

Pinnacle announced yesterday that Northwest has asked for bids for 76 seat flying. No word yet on who else is bidding.

"There are more than enough people willing to work at the work rules and wage rates that Mesaba has proposed," Foley said.
That is the reality of the situation. He knows it, the SLT knows it and most people that read this board know it.

Thats just it if you agree to fly a/c with 110 seats at 13% less than 50 seats, you guys are NewCo. Management will do whatever it takes to get that flying to Mesaba. All you current Mesaba pilots will get the boot anyway as NWA pilots take those positions.

Yeah, right, NWA pilots will fly for $50,000 with 12 days off, right....
