Here is a summary of what i have been hearing........

Avro Sim is gone this summer, thats why they are getting everyone current in the SIM lately.

MEMphis as a Avro base is also gone this summer. Does this mean we lose aircraft that were covering the MEM flying. Or will there be a crap load of furloughs this summer?

Another rumor, someone in the training department told a avro instructor that he should not be worried about his job. That guy is thinking he will be a CRJ instructor.

why i am even worrying about this crap is beyond me, i should just plan on the judge to screw us over, and a ******************** load of NWA and continental flying......at rates that make me cry.......since anybus driver can make more than 1/2 the pilots.

full pay til the last day........then walk. is the idea i am most hearing......and agree
 
The complete rj-85 replacement isn't coming till 2009-2010. Seems a bit early to me to remove all the avro's. Isn't it real nice that NWA won't announce it's full plans till after the pilots take concessions, gotta love that.
 
You can hear the crickets on the big boys broad. Not one word from NWA pilots about the TA, Management buying the new ticket before the ink even dried on the TA, not a word. I hope NWA MEC has some master plan over there. I got this bad feeling all the pilots are undoing their pants and they are bending over thats why we aren't hearing anything. All you can do in that position is hyperventilate.

Just remember you went to gulfstream, so you dont get a vote in how ********************ty the profession is.
 
Just keep bitchin about how bad it is and why you cant figure out why management does some of the things they do...then remember you went to Gulfstream.
 
Yes I went to Gulfstream. Paid for by the great-full nation that I served for so many years. You have never heard me bitch about how f***up the industry is. I Sleep in doors now, in nice hotels, I shower everyday, I eat good food. Life is good. You mistake my trying to understand the industry for bitching. That shows your sorry a$$ attitude. You know my name where I work. I'm not a coward and will never hide. So, who are you ball-less one?

Take a look over at the Major boards again, and read the "Council 20 wants to reject TA" thread.

Speaking of FA's theres actually going to be a new hire class of 38 at the end of April. The FA's are leaving faster than the company wants! Gotta love that they are trying to hire people who likely will be laid off by the end of the year!

Being a proud Gulfstreamer tells me everything about yours. Ive wasted enough time on a Gulfstreamer, Im done.
 
enough with the gulfstream crap.....just a few years ago the majority of regionals used to be pay for training..........get off bashing them.....i would have never done that......but i think we have bigger issues lately than to bash some rich guys kid.

Crew scheduling has been junior manning alot lately. Been called twice in 4 days now....

Interesting...

It would be nice if they would call a few of us back to take care of that situation.

I'm currently working in an "Office Space" like environment, and am ready to pull my hair out! The guy that sits behind me mumbles to himself all day long. To my left sits a man that slurps (not sips) coffee/tea/cider hour after hour. I'm tempted to hide the mug next time he steps out.
 
I was in ground school recently. Ron J. stated that the plan was for the Avro's to be gone by November this year. Of course he is not told everything, that was the last he heard.

There seems to be an attitude as if there are plans for growth in the near future. There was talk of "more sophisticated aircraft" coming, comparing things to the Saab.

I think we should all hold the line, we make money for NWA, they are not planning on ridding of us. If we could all just see through the BS we will be ok. Problem is, their tactics are working. People are believing the scare tactics...we have seen it before...

Sorta like the CRJ? That was pretty short lived.
 
What will be will be. What the pilots decide is almost inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. they have the FAs, MXs, Venders and Parts People, Banks, even Dispatchers. I say book till we cook.

PS Spanky is a rat and needs to suck the pipe!

I forgot to say...At one time I actually considered staying here for the rest of my career. what is going on now is the reason everyone at XJ or any two bit regional needs to constantly try to move up and out ASAP.

You want a good life? Quit complaining, get off your ass, and go get it.

Maybe the reason XJ is dragging this whole thing out is because they know there's lots of growth in the future and don't really want us to take the paycuts....maybe johnny jinglepants is looking out for our well being?

Just thought we could all use a good belly laugh! FLUSH THE RATS OUT OF THE HOLE!!!!
 
All I can say is I'm glad I got axed. Aside from the fact that I was on the CRJ which would mean an awesome schedule, I got hired by the company I wanted to be at and I don't have worry about that silly little training contract.
