Unfortunately I don't think it will be much different than when Foley was around. Instead of MAIR taking (or stealing depending on how you want to look at it) now NWA will get all the profits.

I think that battle will benefit you.

Granted, I still think there's more to gain for all of us by my MEC declaring a PID and forcing a confrontation, but I also think the resultant settlement of the grievance will force some issues too.

NWA can't divest MSA right now...the the current CSA (made moot by the purchase) won't entice a strong IPO...nto to mention the fact that the Unsecured Creditors would have a lot to say about the potential profits from such a move. They also can't operate the larger RJ's without setting up a flow-through (the core of the grievance). I think that leads to some sort of settlement.

Management bought a team of draft horses, but we're the only one's who sell harnesses. They won't get any useful work out of the team unless this gets settled.

We'll see how my MEC acts.
 
What will be really interesting is if NWA makes a another power play against the Mesaba pilots like they did when they aquired Express I. "Open your contract or watch us liquidate the airline."

Everyone here thought being aquired by NWA great until they shoved this sh*tty contract down our throats.

They paid a lot less for Express I than Mesaba, more to lose if they liquidate Mesaba i.e. $150m vs. I-think-it-was,-not-sure,-please-don't-quote-me-on-this-$6m.

Yep, you went from a few Saabs in one base (MEM) to 140 jets in 3 bases with upgrades in less than a year, you're right, things went from bad to worse. Bet you wish Brady and his wife were still running the airline.

The MEC will roll over, the only ones who want a PID are the junior pilots. ALPA has shown how it feels about those members.
 
SO how many months is it gonna be until the Mesaba guys start whining about flow though
 
Probably about 15 days... I don't think the time will measured in "months" versus "weeks".

That said, they deserve it. They have been whipsawed worse than any other redtail group to date, and those who are still there slaving away deserve to payback...

I sincerely hope they get full seniority rights into a mainline seniority number and flow-through as NWA hires. After everything they've been through, that would be the only honorable way to resolve it.

Will be interesting to see how much more is invested into Big Sky now. That's a good sum of cash to play with.
