We (Mesaba)won't give up one red cent. NWA will ask us and 9E to do MORE flying to makeup for the reduced # of ac NWA will have available due to the outsourcing of any MX. That is only if there is a long strike. I highly doubt that NWA will outsource 100 of its MX forever. NWA will have to watch out for what, if any, extra flying can be allowed by its pilot's agreements.

Also in 98, it was nice to get money and not have to work at all. That wasn't just a pure gift. There is a difference between letting us stay idle during a break in the action and shutting down and starting back up the whole airline. That comes from furloughing an entire airline.
