One day before Furlough I am sick and they want a doctors note. FU Tof...rud, Porst..l and Spandex. Good ridance to these mis-managers. I hope you rot in hell.

I called in sick the last week before I was furloughed, the CP called me and asked if I was comming back to work. I told him no. I never had to produce a note.

now that is balls, god job! i have been expecting a new notice, but its not came yet. right before Saab class planning said they were planning on another furlough....that was about a month ago, and when i talked to them last week, he said that they usually get them before they do schedules for the following month, and those are done for now. so he said he would not expect anything soon....so i will get done with saab training.....Darn

Yeah, it's in the contract, but you know how sneaky they can be at Mesaba. If you don't do things exactly the right way, and within their time limits, they just say "sorry, no dice." Check to make sure they will pay, and under what conditions. They are supposed to.

I know its in the contract. However, what good will come from it? One day left! This is the type of mis-management that has put were it is. I don't care if Managment alienates the pilots but, when a Chief Pilot follows misdirected managers that Horse s..t.

Thanks for the Co-Pay. I was sick anyway.

Tell the lackey chiefs that they will get their note hand delivered on your first day back on recall. Of course, they will know that there is gonna be no recall and only more furloughs so they aren't going to care.

I took every single hour of sick time before my furlough. I wanted the time I earned in my short time there. A note? Hah, I'd have written a note on the back of my furlough notice that said F__K you!

Excellent!

Thanks for the laughs.

So did Spanky sign your furlough letters? Mine was left blank. I figured that the secretary could have at least forged it or something.

I believe that one must first reach the status of Avro Captain, IP, and Chief Pilot before forging privaleges are handed out by Mesaba Mangement. A secretary definately has not reached those thresholds.

Wait a second, if it isn't signed it isn't an official letter yet right?!? On the other hand why stay there. I took all of my sick leave also before I got furloughed. I mean what were they going to do to me, furlough, fire, or ask me not to ever come back.

MN state fair

For all of you new MSP area furloughees, the Minnesota state fair starts Thursday. They are still hiring. It's a very temporary job, but an easy way to make $1000+ in 7-10 days.

oh dam, maybe i can miss my sim and go make some real money at the fair....

oh whats the deal with Mesaba and MAIr sueing NWA, does this spell doom.....one last effort to get money, or ....any ideas..

i thought it would be a way to get MAIR to control compass....which then......

Out of curosity, what are the hire dates of the guys being furloughed?

"My hire class was effected by this furlough and I was hired at XJ 11/2004."

I belive that it goes all the way back to May '04. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

DOH 4/04 Looks about right by the Alpa webpage list. Plus 15 more supposed to go 9/1/06. 6 more months of this BS and it won't matter everyone will have left on thier own. Everyone I talk to has left or is interviewing elsewhere. As for those already furloughed from the first batch not one (that I have talked to) plans on returning.
