unfortunately.. the Avro can be replaced by the 50 seater.. Personally I think the AVvor is MUCH more comfortable that the 50 seater.

Actually it won't be from just 5 parked avro's...our management has told NWAC that they want ALL the avro's or none at all. Only time will tell. It sure seems fishy that they keep extending the AVRO decision. I think that if NWAC wanted the AVRO gone it would have been parked back in october. Just my 2 cents.

It was like waiting for a baby to be born! But after the slugfest was over it was obvious the teh XJ group has balls as big as church bells!

Press on XJ!:D

It was obvious that management wanted this settled too.
If it was so certain that the AVRO was leaving then they would have made that announcement on Dec. 15.
Take a look at our state of the art dispatch facility and new hanger....not to run 50 SAABs boys. Anyone can see the obvious.
Management asked for the proffer for a reason....NWA has plans and it is not to shrink us...or PNCL. We will grow together.
Just wish the whipsaw game would not happen.

I agree. I would think that if it's an awesome deal, a few would have posted the details by now.

Now I know you’re a true idiot! You don’t even know how this process works. I’m an XJ line pilot, put in much time at the strike center, and I haven’t seen anything.

DC-9-10 = 78 Seats

You are right, I did not consider the -10s. I looked and the NWA investor relations website shows 8 DC9-10s in the fleet.

I would argue that while 8 -10s does give them some presence, it is not much of one, and it is not cost competetive compared to XJ, CMR, ASA, or any other 'express' carrier.

Either way, thanks for bringing my oversight to my attention.

Why do you have to rely on someone else to provide safety for your family? And why would you want to?
Gee, let me think about that one. Pilots are on the front line every day. We strap ourselves to the front of the airplane, and are faced with FAA scrutiny at every step. We are also the first at the scene of any accident.

Yet when pilots bring safety matters to the attention of the company or the FAA, the canned response is "if it's legal, it must be safe." It took a fatal accident at Little Rock for the FAA to get off their a$$ and interpret crew rest regulations that were ALREADY IN PLACE!

So no one else cares more about safety than the pilots, but we can't get anyone to listen to us by ourselves. Hence the need to have an organized representative on our behalf.

I guess I was right. I knew there had to be a reason.

You are a complete idiot!!! The TA didn't become available to the pilot group until the 13th, that's the reason there was no posts about TA details before this.

Your stupidity is overwelming!!!
