I've got 3 messages in the last 24 hrs for 3 different trips. Must have a lot of sick calls. Jee I wonder why???? Good thing there will be 200+ on furlough in Aug.

Oh and the completion and ontime numbers haven't been updated since July 7th. Trying to hide something Spandex????

Can you smell that??? Yea,... thats a once great regional airline about to go up in flames.

To all the Mesaba pilots and crew memebers its been great working with you but I think our number is up soon. I hope I'm wrong but we shall see soon enough. Its sad what this current management team has done. I just hope we strike or liquidate because I don't want anything left for this SLT to F up anymore.

I thought the same thing when I noticied it the other day.

Hey you guys might not like this, but it is worth a suggestion, Colgan Air is hiring Saab guys. Just a thought for yah if you want to get out.

Good luck again

It's flippin hot on the minnehopless side. Good day to call in sick. Fill up the kiddy pool with ice and beer, jump in, and drink those worries away. Good day for Corona's

you know, it would be a nice time to call in sick tomorrow, but i think faxing in my furlough request might be better.....then i am going to find every little thing on my preflight......i am not comfortable flying with my seat....its not adjusting properly.....there are bugs on the widshield, is that a tiny crack i see in the windscrean? the nav display at the last minute was acting funny, should we write that up? oh, dam the escape rope fell out again, we cannot fly with that out can we? are there thunderstorms ahead, did the radar go out right after takeoff, we should go back and write it up, i am not feeling good about those storms 100 miles ahead....you get the point. But i say this, i will not break any rules, oh.....and when i start saab training in a week or two, i already have a couple set in stone appointments that i will not miss....how will they think about me missing a day of training? because i cannot miss that appointment. Oh, and i am joining the national guard, can get time off for that? i think i just want one flight more inthe avro, just for pics and such...after that, i cannot give a crap about that place.......

Ha! That's what I was thinking. According to the weather channel, it's 112F in Pierre right now!

They tried to junior man me this morning for a London, ON round trip. I thought about picking up the turn for 6 hours credit, but instead I opted to roll over and go back to bed. Under different circumstances (i.e. nobody on furlough, the company is understaffed due to massive expansion) I'd have been all over it. But, I just can't help the company rectify its incompetence.

Called me for that same turn this morning. I'm right with you on the reasons not to take it. Besides to furloughees I was already getting dressed to go work at my 1st job. Yes XJ has become my 2nd job. Wish I could use a sick call for my 3day tomorrow but, I need to use the sick time later this month.

Sorry you guys have to go through this crap. Hopefully some sort of good wil come to you folks. You certainly deserve it.

HAHAHAHAHA.....They are trying to junior man for a LFT overnight in MEM right now.....Good luck.....I say "they can kiss my arse."

LET IT BURN!

Tell them they can call me or one of the other 145 pilots that have been furloughed.

I've been having this recurring dream that they try to jr man for a trip even though I've been furloughed for months. In the dream I show up wearing a t-shirt and shorts, carrying an empty flight case....

That's almost like the dream where you keep thinking you have a test tomorrow. Five years after you finished school.

Unfortunately, this group of management thugs will try to screw you guys regardless.

There is nothing really left to fight for, so why not have as much fun as possible screwing them over while you can. If it ends up costing each of them some personal cash, so much the better.

I say enjoy the final downward slide. From a flying job standpoint, you've got nowhere to go but up.

Absolutely agree!!!

I second what JD2003 said. You have earned your sick time - use it.

As a former XJ'er good luck to all of you!

If any of you are planning on leaving maybe you guys should do some random resignations. You know, pull into the gate at an outstation, say "this looks good", grab yer stuff and walk away.

The one-way rental car would be the best $200 you've ever spent. Bonus, if you can split it with the rest of the crew!!

The slt brought this upon themselves and they deserve anything they get.

Kick jinglepants in the junk once for me!

You guys have the right idea. I would be doing the same thing. Screw the company as much as you possibly can. Just be careful though. Dont let the hate entice you to do something that could hurt your career.

This place reminds me of Brittney Spears, not so long ago it had such promise, but it's just let itself go. Thanks a whole lot Spanjers-Federline. Oh yeah, they tried to junior man me twice yesterday, good thing i'm getting furloughed the 22nd. That should help the staffing problem.

Unbelieveable. You XJ guys have my deepest sympathy. Good luck.

The same BS happened in Feb. Frequent junior manning of the Saab guys right up til they were furloughed. The planners must go to the same school as the accountants and SLT... Do whatever will screw things up the most for everyone involved. Let the strike countdown begin :bomb:

I learned the hard way. Leave XJ now. There is no future in MSP. Sure, the guys hired in 1996 will spin great yarns on how XJ is the only place to be. They are all Captians and have been for last 9 years, but when their FO's have been FO's for 8 years.....ya see what I is driving at.

To all the junior (post 1995) XJ pilots.....Get out know. Go anywhere else before the senior XJ pilots get hired in front of you and refuse to ever, ever, ever, ever ,ever leave.
