Didn't that jacket come out about the same time Freedom started?

Windbreaker for a strikebreaker! I think they are actually Kevlar, for good reason.

I lurk around here and from time to time recognize a valid point when I see one. I've been at Mesa for a little over two years, after getting laid off at another airline, with that said I'm grateful of Mesa for giving me a job but thats about it. When I first got hired I saw the windbreaker and thought it was a good idea, you know hauling around the leather can get tedious, especially in PHX. After I bought the thing I actually wore it once or twice, and it was great to travel with. When your done with the thing you can just roll it up and stuff in a bag and not worry about it. However, I really didn't like the way it looked, ie (unprofessional), so I'm back to hauling around the leather again.

On a side note, I was going through security the other day and a Hawaiian 767 crew was in front of me and guess what the F/O was wearing?, yup a Hawaiian airline windbreaker, it had the wings on not the logo but it was a windbreaker. I wanted to laugh, but thought better of it.

Good luck to ALL regional pilots!

Hence, 12 posts in a little under a year. I'm surprised you recognized that many valid points around here. :D

Looks like the Mesa guys are starting to clean up AH's mess. A 26m video on the alpa site talks about professionalism and image. They didn't address the windbreaker, but a step in the right direction. The mix of humor in the message was good..... The subtle slams on management were noted. Pilots should not expect to support thier wives during chemo.... they may have to fly....

I think my popcorn is ready........

Somewhere this thread is going to turn into a PFT arguement...I can smell it.

The company actually banned the windbreakers, but a lot of FO's still wear them cuz they can't afford the leather one.

The midget actually seemed like a pretty cool guy.

My pleasure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A friend of mine lends me that windbreaker from time to time.
I wear it when I beat up mainline pilots.
