New scuttlebutt among the high and mighty of the airline world is that Mesa is in serious talks with Delta to aquire Mesa. Nothing more than rumor but it well placed source. Nothing concrete, just that there is a serious move afoot now.

Rp buying Comair makes sense in the fact thats it's a good way to layahold of a CRJ program, but I'm betting that Mesa will make the move first.

I have Mesa on the brain. :P

It will be interesting to see if anything comes of it. If Mesa has a chance to knock off another comnpetitor, I am sure that choguey boy, JO, will do it. I hope for the Comair guys sake, Republic gets to them first.

Dude, you are an idiot! Thank God for stupid people. If everyone was smart, think how hard it would be to get a job.

BTW: Delta is also in serious talks with Delta to aquire Delta.

Take a deep breath. Now get over yourself.

I also heard that Chuck Norris was going to buy the rights to Mr. T! But instead he just decided to take it.

You do realize that he posted that Mesa was going to aquire itself from Delta.

My God!!! I can't slip anything past someone of your intelligence. I am very glad that you're here to save me from myself.

Mesa is after Comair. There is no deal, only talks with Delta to aquire Comair. Is that better Mrs. English Teacher?

The is no I in 'TEAM"....... There are 2 I's in Vin Deisel, He says F@ck the rest of you Guys!!!!!

Mesa and Comair

1. Broke in CVG relax, the guy made a mistake.
2. That baby picture with the eyes really scares me.
3. Mesa is a good company to take over. They have 275 mill in the bank and very little debt. They just hired a M/A person so the rumor might be true. I would say this; Comair has a better contract and better QL so JO will try to staple you to the bottom of the list or have Delta put you on the street before a purchase goes through. That is his history and I don't really see this changing.
4 Mesa has big problems, no one wants to work at Mesa and they have HUGE MX problems of which Delta is aware.
5. The Union at Mesa is trying to get the pilots to start a merger fund.

3. True - JO has so much money in the bank and Mesa stock is so cheap that he better buy someone before someone buys Mesa. JO took over the company with < 10% of the outstanding stock: so could someone else.
4. True/False - they are having big problems filling new hire classes but I don't buy the mx problems side. The respective majors get what they pay for. DL pays Mesa a higher margin and sees less BS. Can't say the same for UA.
5. True

I pity the fool who think Chuck Norris can akwire da T! Besides... Da T is in talks with ASA to akwire himsewf!

Mesa will be bought within the next 12-18 months

And Go will be flying within mainland as a Non Union shop Little Airline....
with aircraft with about 110 seats capacity

I'm not sure what this thread is even about. But I can't help posting anyway!

1. Mesa buying Comair? Fat chance. JO's not interesting in acquiring an overpaid, underworked (from his point of view), hard core union subsidiary like Comair. It's too easy to b-slap Mesa pilots around.

2. Delta buying Mesa? Uh, Delta, which is BK, wants to buy a huge 50-seat operator (dying aircraft)? Not gonna happen.

3. Merger fund at mesa? That turd has been floating around here for the past 5 years. Some guys just love giving money to ALPA, and start getting stiffys at the thought of "extra dues". Considering how well the pilot group and ALPA have served each other (what with our stellar contract and all), who can blame them?

Air France will aquire Delta and Comair will become an Air France Connection carrier. Then there will be a flow through program and Comair pilots will have the honor to become proud Air France pilots.

(This message was endorsed by the General Lee who filled out our application while on his France vacation last week).

I can't agree with that. JO would buy Comair if it came with some contract guarantees of work from Delta. He doesn't want Comair, but he does want a strong relationship with Delta.

He'll deal with the pilot contract problem when he has to - remember he's not going to want most of the Comair pilots, too much seniority and too expensive so the more that get pissed and leave the happier he'll be.
