I applied to several regionals but Mesa called me first and good thing I took the offer because I was able to upgrade back in the days in 8 months and believe me the first question I was asked at the interview at UPS was How many PIC hours do I have? being able to upgrade on the B1900D and soon on the ERJ145 gave me an edge to get the Job at UPS because I had lots of PIC time. Mesa is not the best company to work for, but they have crew bases all over the country and different fleet types. Hope you are not considering it as your final step in your career.
just get in and log your time and to get out....that's my 2-cents
