like I said on other posts, go to where you want to live...you'll be there a while...that was the ticket with me at least

It seems to me that the "management lackeys" have done a superb job of pitting one pilot group against another.. (In addition to the obvious economic situation).. However, let's be clear, divisiveness is they're goal..."They" are glad to see heated debate between regional carriers, and main-line carriers for that matter.. Heated open debate among members suggests doubt...and their goal is individual self doubt..for you, and everyone you work with..Distrust is a powerful tool...

In fact we retain the power. We are all on the same team.. Let's protect our postions, and not diminish ourselves, nor our comrades through ill considered statements or protestations. Assume the best...there are those who will live up to your expectations...

Go where they give you a class date...

I agree with some of the posts...Go where you get the first job offer. I applied to several regionals but Mesa called me first and good thing I took the offer because I was able to upgrade back in the days in 8 months and believe me the first question I was asked at the interview at UPS was How many PIC hours do I have? being able to upgrade on the B1900D and soon on the ERJ145 gave me an edge to get the Job at UPS because I had lots of PIC time. Mesa is not the best company to work for, but they have crew bases all over the country and different fleet types. Hope you are not considering it as your final step in your career.
just get in and log your time and to get out....that's my 2-cents

Are you in class now at UPS? If not, when is your class date?

Those days are over at Mesa, at least for now. We just furloughed a new hire FO class because we are shrinking the 1900 fleet faster then planned and we need to retrain the 1900 guys first. 10 new CRJs between now and the end of the summer and then the growth comes to a hault. Go to CHQ. -Bean

BTW, I can't believe anyone, including me, even responded to this total FLAME BAIT. We should all know better.

All I can say to this is I was at another regional before Comair. The way of life compared between the two companies didn't even come close. I don't care if I am a FO here for longer, because first of all I know that there isn't many places to go right now, or for the next 5 years, and second the airline I was at was WAY better then Mesa. They really hated them there. ( A US Airways Express carrier) Here I am treated like a real human. I get 14-16 days off making 90+ hours a month, and they don't want me to work when I am sick. Unlike my old company that the CP yelled at you when you called in sick 9 days a year.

I agree. Go fly the E170 (a lot nicer than the tubular CRJ-200/700/900) and go catch the Delta growth that Comair can't seem to benefit from...

I'd be really surprised if any Chautauqua pilots get to fly those planes for many years, if ever. There will be a US Airways furloughee sitting in the left seat and a Delta furloughee sitting in the right seat.

Look what ALPA is doing to Comair and ASA. And those people are members! But ALPA has no duty of fair representation to the Teamsters. So let's bow our heads in a moment of silence for the Chautauqua pilots.

They are about to be ALPAtised.
