Although I would agree you need to take a strond stance in negotiations....what you are proposing is not negotiations but rather dictations, and I have no idea how you feel you have ability to produce even a fraction of what you propose...especially on unrelated agenda's.

If you are appointed to the negotiating committee, you will have so many promises to keet just to save face, that you will have NO CHOICE but to burn this place down.

I JUST FOUND OUT THAT AIRMIDWEST IS NOT INCLUDED, THEREFORE I ADD MORE DEMANDS.......AND SINCE YOU ARE ASKING IF I GET IN THE NEG COM:

I WILL ASK FOR 165 DOLLARS CRJ CAPTAIN AND 90 DOLLAR B1900 CAPTAIN PAY FOR A START.

WOULD I GET THAT? PROBABLY NOT......

WHAT HAVE YOU TO OFFER..............A PAY CUT IN ORDER TO GET PBS?

LETS BE REAL, YOU ARE NOT QUALIFY FOR ANY JOB WITHIN THE MEC, HOWEVER YOU ARE ENTTILED TO PUT YOUR NAME IN THE HAT, JUST LIKE ANY OTHER PILOT IN GOOD STANDING COULD.

GOOD LUCK.

Yeah. Some people think the higher you ask the more you get. Like you just magically meet in the middle like at the Englishtown flea market in NJ.

They should ask for it, why not? Mesa is profitable. That's not an outrageous number for a Jet Captain.

First off stop yelling. This pay scale is a little outrages, but it will be interesting to see what the MEC finds reasonable.

Asking for $165/hr is one thing....actually getting it is a whole 'nother story!!
But good luck just the same!!

Just a quick question has anyone ever brought up a flat rate pay scale in any airline? Somethin like 65 a year for FO's and 125k a year for cpt's seems fair for the regionals.

Well, that's how you negotiate! Start high and go low. I pesonally know the guy that posted that. He knows he's not going to get $165 an hour, but that is NEGOTIATION people. Start high, and meet somewhere in the middle.

Trust me, every union out there could use somebody like Angelo. I wish him the best of luck!

I wish some of you f*ckers would open some used car lots, because I could go in and say "OK, I'll give you $2000 below sticker price," and you'd go "SOLD!!!!!!"

So with your logic, if you open at $125/hr, you'll eventually end up settling for less than if you open at $165/hr?

And if I go to a used car lot and buy something, I can just lowball him by about $7000, which will eventually lead to a different "middle" place than if I started by lowballing him $4000?

I'm not flaming, just trying to understand the logic here.

I think if you open too high, you just look like an a@@ and the company and NMB laugh you away from the table, tell you to cool off for a while and come back when you're realistic.

I hope they end up getting some ridiculous pay scale so they can price themselves out of the market and get a taste for what they've been doing to everyone else recently!

It worked for Netjets.

What's this?

This financial amount is not nearly enough! A company as fine as Mesa should be compensating both seats at least $200/ hour.

With the ammount Mesa rakes in a year, they should pay their pilots double the asking amount.
