Could you imagine walking out to the ramp and seeing your plane sitting there crumpled. Should make the pre-flight easy. Even a MESA pilot could make the no-go call. Remember the ten foot scrape on the tail of the EMB145 they missed on the pre-flight in Roanoke after the Captain pounded it in the night before. She never reported her hard landing and the crew didn't notice it the next morning.
