It could have been worse...she could have taken off on the wrong runway!
Lets see was that a couple of MESA pilots...no...hum who did that????
Do you want to pull up every airline thats made mistakes...prob not.

Ahh yes and the MESA pilot opens his mouth to defend his company.

Grow Up

Why do you people rag on each other so much? All this dumping on the Mesa pilots is so unprofessional. If you want to be treated and paid as professionals, try acting like professionals. It's no wonder management thinks you people are a joke. You would find more professionalism and integrity in any high school gym class.

You deserve your slave wages.

anyone know if her initials were JM by any chance?

I’m not going to get into a long discussion about the reasons why people specifically dump on MESA pilots so much. Besides, I think you know what they are. However, to answer your question, I think the reason people in general rag on others is because they enjoy eliciting a desired reaction. I agree that there tends to be a lot of bagging and flippant comments posted, so I understand your response given that it’s your company they’re referring to. However, I think you need to take some of your own advice regarding attitude and integrity. Your last statement is unnecessary and outright mean:

You deserve your slave wages.
No one DESERVES slave wages.

Making those type of statements makes you no better than the people that you are complaining about.

Here’s a quote that a friend of mine has in their email signature. It contains some good advice that we all could do well to keep in mind:

The soul is dyed in the color of its thoughts. Think only on those things that are in line with your principles and can bear the light of day. The content of your character is your choice. Day by day, what you do is who you become. Your integrity is your destiny... it is the light that guides your way.

It was not about defending the company. Are you sure you are Captain Obvious? I was about everyone being able to make mistakes. Was it mean...yes. Sorry for the hurt feelings. Now what does it say over someones door...through these doors walk.....well anyways it sould say through these doors walk every pilot of every other airline.

Goes to show you that the Bad Mesa Pilots (majority) start from the inbreeding at their mesa schools.

We all remember when the pilot landed at Roanoke so hard, it damaged the plane very badly. Didn't write it up or anything. Why do all the other airlines not have a problem except mesa? Man they suck! Then the next day, that crew flew it then the third crew finally noticed the strech marks---Similar to those on Go-Jet's ego-filled guts.

Wow, I think it's safe to say that every MESA pilot is a totall jacka$$. Yup...

Oh, wait, they're not. An MPD STUDENT bends some metal, and I'm hoping that everyone is ok(first mention here), and everyone makes comments about 900's?

Come on folks!

Hey, let's not forget that we have afirmative action quotas to meet. Get off your high horses, gentlemen. Like you have never crashed an airplane and been hired the next day.

Whatever flight school you went to only puts out perfect pilots?

Probably one of the better Mesa landings on record................

Would you say the same about Fed Ex?

On September 14, 2006, a Fedex MD-11, N623FE, suffered damage to the aft portion of the airplane as a result of a tail strike while landing at Subic Bay, Philippines.

How about Delta?

On September 5, 2006, at 1701 UTC, Delta flight 565, a Boeing 757-232, registration N622DL, experienced a tailstrike while landing on runway 8 at San Juan airport, Puerto Rico.

So your saying Mesa is the mistake? I agree

And Republic/Shuttle America is better?

Back to flaming Mesa Airlines b/c a non-Mesa pilot crashed in training. Where was the CFI in all of this?

Don't try to spin this. Mesa still sucks.

I love the skid marks swerving across the ramp towards the Bonanza. Glad noone was hurt.

Tower: "N*****; exit at the next...oh, nevermind..."

Wow, anyone know if the plane was out of farmington nm or mesa az? I used to flight instruct with a cfi (chick) who did this exact same thing. Then went off to CFI at mpd in mesa.

100% CORRECT!!! I was a student at MPD (AzState) for awhile. When I wised up and changed my major, the chair of the program told me, "Well, you HAD potential...Mesa will never hire you now."

Mesa pilots are carnies. They cant get their training anyplace else so they go to that assembly line. Flame the f*** on!

We do want to be treated and paid as professionals, but it's hard to make a livable income when so many people will work for pennies at airlines like Mesa.
