Is it true street captains just hired for the Dash 8 at Mesa are not going to be Captains. Rumor has it Mesa pissed off Delta because some Dash 8's are not up to Delta Specs?:crying:

If by not up to Delta specs you mean not legal to fly under part 121, then you are correct.

i dunno about the next class but I just finished ground school on friday... 11 CA, 6 FO... another class is supposed to start but I don't know the breakdown....

Seven - Your just mad because Mesa did not offer you the job.

The only regional I ever applied to was Mesaba. I got hired and then furloughed one year to the day. But after NWA is done beating us down like red-headed step children, Mesa pay will probably be better than Mesaba's. But in the end, it's company's like Mesa that bring the entire industry down. Young and dumb pilots that will work for any wages just so they can flip switches and tell their girlfriend they can fly a jet and so mommy will be proud.

Mesa Dash 8s out of PHX

Are the Dash 8 pilots based out of PHX senior or could Mesa newhires go to either the JFK operation or the PHX operation right off the bat if they were awarded the Dash?

Given the limited number of Dash 8 routes out of PHX, is that a good base to bid if you were assigned the Dash for Mesa? How does that aircraft operate out of PHX in the summer? Pretty sluggish?

Bye Bye --- General Lee

PHX is somewhat senior for the dash, but nothing like the jet. Newhires will go east, at least until DAL fires mesa.

The -8 100's mesa aqcuired to do the NE DAL flying had been in a canadian junkyard for so long that they didn't have GPWS...Ooops! Mesa mngt didn't realize that GPWS is mandatory in 121 ops. Apparently there is only one certified GPWS available for the the dash, and it is no longer available...Ooops. Mesa's NE DAL flying appears to be going to CHQ...

No Seven its the Freedom A listers that brought the contract down. A lot of regionals have the same mins as Mesa. Maybe you should go hang out at the Comair Academy
