Whats so earth-shattering about that weather why the FO shouldn't land?? Especially now that we've found out he was PNF???starcheck1 said:.....shouldn't have let the FO land in that WX...
Amen...Dave Benjamin said:I wouldn't be too quick to cast a stone on this one. Wind was light and visibility 2 miles. Mesa doesn't have a sterling reputation for MX. I've never flown a 1900 but if the guy landed and the nosewheel steering wasn't functioning properly I'm not sure how many of you aces out there would have been able to bring it to stop on the runway.
I actually think this is #3 this year.....And we arn't allowed to cancel in the air even if its severe clear....if they did they are fubar'd.nck4857 said:Same thing happend at MHK about 6 months ago, right???
Even if it was, a quick push of the button would/should/could have taken care of it the problem..YD on?
At that time the GENERAL public didn't know it wasn't the FO...and now the thought is why would anyone run of the runway in the WX anyway...sounds good to me...good thing no one is hurt and good luck to the pilots....maybe MX is to blameT-Gates said:Whats so earth-shattering about that weather why the FO shouldn't land?? Wow... I never thought about that one. What if?????What if the fuel controller failed and dumped a bunch of fuel into the engine just before the nosewheel touched the pavement?
