Did neone see this on the hub?

There is a problem listing America West Express flights operated by Mesa Air for flights beginning August 1, 2006 and after. This problem should be fixed soon, but in the meantime, if your itinerary includes flights operated by Mesa for America West on Aug. 1 or beyond, please wait and make your listings at a later date when the problem is fixed. We will post a message here as soon as the situation is resolved.

The bird told me out back that Mesa is on the way out. The way that this problem is fixed is Mesa is GONE!

Just what i heard. Remember believe nothing what you hear and half of what you see. Then come to your own conclusions about the above.

I don't think they're going anywhere anytime soon.

10 of the 900s that PSA was to get / might get were to replace some of the Mesa 900s in the East. Thats all kind of up in the air though now, but it wouldnt be any sooner that 1st quarter of 07 anyway.

a judge ruled mesa can void their contract with their employees as long as they give 10 days notice. gee, I wonder why they would want to do that?

That's MESABA not MESA

Mesa is not going anywhere or this would have happend along time ago. PSA thought they were out when the ERJ's left CLT. Mesa loaned America West money to pull out of Bankruptcy about 15 years ago.

I'm not sure we are on our way out, but the rumor mill says that America West (US Airways) and United are not pleased with us right now, might be because our CRJ is staffed at 3.2ish crews per airplane and we are having massive system shutdowns because of it...Delta on the other hand is up around 5. JO dosen't really have enough pilots in his hiring pool right now to keep up with current attrition let alone any more airplanes. We don't really have what it takes for any new flying right now. This little situation has the potential of giving us the upper hand for contract talks which start in the spring.

STFD

The way it reads...............

Mesa's contract with Airways (West) is valid through 2012. I have heard that the Dash/Beech stuff might be up in 08', but Airways is married to them for a while.

From what I understand this is the case

ETC never works. I'd be worried if it did.

Thats fuuny:) I have heard that for the last 6 years. Every time something goes down, Mesa on the way out.

Mesa needs to be gone. They fly mainline aircraft for immigrant wages. All the MEC's must say no to the 90 seaters or we are doomed to work for the likes of JO. They will cash their bonus checks and laugh at us all the way to the bank. It needs to stop. It starts with each and everyone of us. Solidarity has never been more important than now. Contact your MEC and tell them how you feel about the QOL, benefits, and low wages.

If nobody wants to work for Mesa then Mesa will be shut down. JO's staffing is dangerously low right now because nobody wants to work for Mesa. If you are at Mesa I would urge you to resign. There will be jobs elsewhere. If you are considering working for Mesa...don't. The jobs belong at mainline and if we can all pull together that is where we will all be working. We need to cooperate and stop stabbing each other in the back.

Don't work for Mesa...don't accept wages for 90 seat aircraft when you can't provide for your family or pay your bills...don't work for Mesa.

JD2003,

I agree with you, but will make up the pay difference, I mean it seems like you have some cash, saying we should all leave and back to $20 an hour jobs. I hope your mom has room in the basement for me. Oh wait, you live there already.

I just want to check, is it OK to accept wages for 50 seat aircraft that don't provide for the family and pay my bills?

Let's see. 1500 Mesa pilots up and quit. Half of them Captains. Plenty of jobs out there. Brilliant post Einstein!

Have some respect for yourself and others slackass. Don't work for JO...JO goes away and his rotten company goes away too. JO is the chief whore of a whorehouse full of backstabbing scabs. It makes my skin crawl to think about it.

PSA stands for nothing...actually...

It used to stand for Pacific Southwest Airlines out of CA. but when US bought it.....that was dismantled, and then the stuck it on PSA....as a placeholder for the corp. logo/identity/trademark/ whatever..

Well if the contract is valid till '12 then you guys are all set! Nothing ever happens to a long term contract now does it?

I wish this was true but sadly its not. For the time being we will have to see those monkey jet 900's on the C concourse. The only plus side of that is that its a slap in the face to mainline and for some reason I get a bit of satisfaction out of that.

Punch,

There is no satisfaction to be had seeing mainline jobs taken away and desacrated in that fashion. Please reconsider.

I think you mistook what I was trying to say. I'm not happy about mainline jobs being taken away either but thats not my fault. Its ALPA's fault. I meant only that it sucks being a commuter pilot and routinely treated like a second class citizen by mainline.

However tho the contract can be bought at US's request if they needed to exercise that option.

That will be a great way for Airways to fund GO Airlines and have them in CLT.

That's a good one.

A slap in the face to mainline. Mainline is allowing up to 93 large sj
to be flown at the express carriers through their transition agreement.

After you put all the junior guys on the street, you did this to yourself!!

At least they have a payrate for the 900. Which happens to be more than Skywest, maybe everyone should quit Skywest. Everyone could go to Comair.
