I can't express my frustration on the MESA board so I will express it here.

If those SOB's try to put ACA behind them on the list you(ACA) should park the planes. Haven't they already ruined the industry enough.

This is a hostile takeover plain and simple and I hope you guys fight JO with every dieing breath. He is a pillager just like Lorenzo and needs to be stopped.

Thats right JO I know you read this. How many more lives are you willing to ruin?

Why not? It's a public forum, same as this one.

Because its their board. I wouldn't want anyone bashing my company on my own board so I won't bash them on their board. I really don't think that I am mature enough to say anything constructive and anything I do say will be out of pure animosity for the whole group.

:D :D

Found on the MESA Forums:

Now I know how we get everyone from Mesa the upgrades that were talked about at the Roadshow. The ACA guys can get in line behind us!!!

Profile was a CRJ pilot with the position of "waiting in line". Looks like a Freedumb scum who can just ki$$ my a$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are they both ALPA? IF they are, then they follow the ALPA merger policy. As long as they are equal with the same type of planes, they would be merged DOH.......I think? Right?

Bye Bye--General Lee:cool:

This won't be much of an issue since 99.9% of ACA's pilots are allergic to the MESA uniform and will start puking and having seizures if it touches our skin.

WE'D RATHER QUIT THAN WHORE OURSELVES OUT

(Not meant to flame, just thats the general feeling around here)

General,

Is that a serius statement/question or are you just trying to stir the pot again?

Even if the DOH merge were to happen, I would take a 40% pay cut (from 6yr CRJ CA to aprox 4yr J32 pay). HELL NO!!!!!

Surplus,

Sounds like the General was serious. Actually, I am curious about that too. Are they not both ALPA? If so, would not DOH apply? Any ALPA-informed people out there who can help?

Not my attitude.

I saw that particular post this morning and was taken a bit...a lot actually. I was glad to see the very next post chastise him. Obviously, the author is young, ignorant or an original Freedom pilot. He/she/it does NOT speak for the majority of MESA pilots, who are just as surprised and leery about this situation as you are.

No one I know here would take satisfaction in seeing a repeat of the CCAir debacle. It was a long, painful and stressful ordeal. With both of us ALPA carriers, there is no need to worry much about a staple job. If it ACTUALLY comes to a full merger, the unions will run a formula based on precedent, and that is that.

All I know for sure is that nothing is like it should be, and nothing will ever be like it was. Good luck to us all....

You guys need to read both Mesa's and ACA's Section 1 of their CBA as well as ALPA's Merger Policy Manual (available on www.alpa.org). It is enlightening reading...but don't read it in bed. :D

6 year 50-59 seat jet CA pay at Mesa is $59.32 hour, or $53,981.20 (13 bids at 70 hours/month min guarantee). What is 6 year CRJ CA pay and 4 year J32 pay at ACA?

I don't doubt you would take a pay cut. However, 40% seems . . . well, I'll see soon enough when someone posts the pay.

Furthermore, when 2 ALPA carriers merge, both pilot groups will seek to pluck the best aspects of their contract and apply it to the combined list. Since I don't doubt that ACA has a better contract in virtually every aspect (except perhaps scope protection, thanks to Freedom), Mesa's Merger Committee would seek to use ACA's established payrates, per diem, min bid, time off/vaction, block or better (does ACA have this?), etc. rather than their own. You don't think Mesa pilots actually prefer to work under a contract that is difficient in many areas compared with their peers, do you?

Gen Lee,

Are you referring to the ALPA fragmentation and integration policy ???

If so we have already seen how ALPA selectively deals with that.

A six year 50 seat captain at ACA makes 66.86/hr and our guarantee is 75 hours.

A four year j-32/41 captain makes 46.82/hr at ACA.

Just posting our numbers at ACA. We also have much better work rules too.

ACA, I'm hoping you guys arn't sucked down the toilet with Mesa, I'll be praying for you guys. I do have to say foy the ACA guy that so defended the Mesa contract, what do you think now? Let this be a lession to many of you, it does effect you, it does all of us.

ACA 50 seat rates.

To you guys and gals at ACA...
God help you, but he helps those
who help themselves, so
1) Buy all of the ACA stock you can,
so (L)owenstein cant
2)sew some boilerplate into your
underwear to protect your nether
regions!

Good Luck!!!

Didn't do it right the first time, why should ACA pilots think you'll do it right this time?
Besides, our younger pilot group has the same jellyfish backbone that the Mesa group has when it comes to terms of contracts.

The hypocrisy in that statement coming from a Deltoid is stunning. I'm speechless..........
