Just for the record all of us are paid way way too low.

I only hate Mesa cause of J.O.

It looks like it would take you 10 years to make what a 1st year Mesa 900 Ca makes.

Its a good thing that everyone else is smart enough to realize that you dont represent the whole Piedmont pilot group (although i am sure you think you do). But your FA's might make more than a Mesa FA's So maybe your an FA - and their is is nothing wrong with that either.

Well, the reason your math sucks is that you are only using hourly rates! Work rules are a big part of your paycheck!!! Lets see!! Do you get--->
1. Block or better Pay?
2. CX Pay for Mx?
3. Cx Pay for Wx?
4. Mininum Day Pay?
5. Premium Pay?
6. Whats Your Sick Pay?

We get between 95 hrs to 105 hrs of pay credit a month (Good Month 120hrs). Something I know Mesa doesn't get, cause I talk to there pilots. When you multiply our pay credit against you only getting 80-85 hrs. well then... hmmmm so by looking into our pants you will see a BIG difference!
And our FO's with our work rules really do make more money then the 900 FO's! Do the math with the workrules!!!

Love how I get you sooo worked up!!! LOL!!! I don't know why you hate me? Come on, you know the world of Regionals hates Mesa and Jo, But You can join my fan club if you like! I do allow 13% of my club to be Mesa Pilots!!!

Cloud, your right I don't represent all the PDT pilots!!! Most of our guys really hate Mesa foks! We have a captain that makes a regular Mesa guy say that his company sucks before he gives him the jumpseat.
I haven't said anything that anyone else hasn't already said about Mesa. I don't hate the pilots, I just want them to know they work for a piece of sh$t company and CEO. Wish you guys would get a backbone and stand for something, lets just hope you get this next contract right!!!

Outstanding post! It's problematic to hear pilots or relatives/friends of Mesa defend the airline. Talk about denial. Sooner of later what comes around goes around. One may think that going to Mesa and getting out ASAP to another carrier is a great idea. Sooner of later however, that new carrier you're flying for is going to ask for more concessions based on the lower pay and benefits offered to a new hire at Mesa willing to fly a 90 seat airplane with 8.7 or so days off a month average on reserve among other deplorable conditions for a highly skilled safety critical profession. Unlike the Lion King, think "circle of death".
 
I think Mesa Pilots shouldn't leave. I believe they should stay and fix the mess that they have made for themselves and the rest of the airline industry.
It's like fly2scuba said: a younger eager person will just replace them to further perpetuate the horrid wages and QOL. MESA Pilots, you need to not settle for less, and get rid of those crappy jogging gear uniforms!
 
Wsurf LOL. PDT pilots are funny they think there so much better then everyone else. It must be all them lifers that could not figuer out how to move on to a real airline.

Well when you can make 100k a year flying a Dash 8 and live at home, work your own sched. I can't say I blame a bunch of them for staying. For me, well I am getting close to 1000hrs of PIC, but if I don't get hired anywhere atleast you can make a living here. You should thank a bunch of those grey hair PDT senior guys, they work really hard in the late 80's and early 90's to help increase the regionals pay and work rules... And to have it all pissed away by a few ignorant pilot groups is sad!

Just like a Mesa idiot. Dude, pay is based on how many seats and how large the A/C is....

Dash 8 Q100 37 seats
Dash 8 Q300 56 seats

CRJ 900 86 seats

Now do the math and take the difference in seats compared to the pay, how far off is it?

I hope you didn't go to Riddle. they all ready have a bad rep.
 
It's no news flash that Mesa sucks. All the employees know they work for a scumbag, and that their bottom feeding is killing everyone else. The Mesa guys I know, all hate the place, but just want to get their time and move on. This mentaliity is killing us all.

Wsurf - It sounds to me like you do hate Mesa Pilots. Everyone at Mesa knows JO is a POS – that’s no secret. Mesa pilots do get CX pay for WX and MX – depending on controllable cancellations. And it is possible to get 93 + hours of credit per bid, happened all the time in PHX. A Piedmont D8 Ca does not make more than a 900 Ca.

HawkerDude I don’t work at Mesa anymore – I am a 2nd year 737 FO who make more than a Piedmont Ca. Wsurf it will take you 1300 turbine PIC and a better attitude to get an interview at my company.

I think its pathetic that most of the people who complain about Mesa don’t work their. They are the same people who don’t know about Mesa’s contract negotiations. Have no ideal about the F8 A listers nor do they realize that it was the 1st contract that was negotiated after 911.

But my all time favorite are the Comair guys – they really like to Complain, but they forget their contract was pre 911 and myself along with many other were getting about 300 a month pulled out of my paycheck to pay into their strike fund. I still have many friends at Mesa – I would hope they would have everyone support in 2007. Till then you loosers need to find something else to complain about.
 
Complaining stops as soon as the new contract comes to play in 2007!! Until then suck deeeezzzzz nutzzzz!!!! Let me guess!!! You work at PACE!!! lol

Now, once again I'm not going to do the math. Take your 737 seats and pay, and the Mesa 900 seats and pay, and the Piedmont Dash-8 Q300 and brake it down by hourly pay compared to size/seats on the plane. thats how its been done for years, well until Mesa came along.

The other thing is, i've talked to Mesa guys in 2004/2005 and they say during ORD ground stops they are not getting paid. they said they only get paid what the trip blocks at or what was in the schedule. which ever is less.
