GSP-CLT Dash8 and on to CLT-MCI on a Mesa CRJ900.
That makes you Mesa Express. Am I missing something?

I hear that Mesa booked the ERJ sims solid for the next year... and paid cash in advance. You know its serious if mesa paid in advance

Sure your missing something!! We make more money flying the prop that holds 37 then you do on that 900!!! Loser!!!
grog_sit_reserv said:Blah blah blah, Surf buddy, you got some spit on the screen.....
It ain't about pilots. Its about business. Whiskey's pilot group didn't have any say in flying for Airways, they just went where the base opened. So did Skywest, so did XJT, so did ASA, so did Comair, so did TSA, etc, etc....
Mesa pilots don't have any say in who they get to fly for, they took a job and now they must do it.
JO is a bastard its true. And he got the best of MAG pilots by opening up F8 and whipsawing with an alter ego carrier so now they have to do better in the next contract also true.
And now, oh my God! a mesa pilot or two is speculating about their future because of what is happening at XJT... Must crucify them!!
So, I guess what you're telling me is that we are all one big brotherhood of altruistic pilots and that it is evil to ever muse about ones own future when another company is losing market share? What are you, 12 years old?
Secret Squirrel said:Grog, I guess what you do not understand is that you have the opportunity to not work for a scumbag at a company that does not respect its pilots and pays them crap. By doing this the whole industry suffers. It not only sounds like you have no problem with it but you are screaming that you are in favor of it and screw everybody else. That is the problem other pilots have with your group. "Its not my fault I work for a bad man." Bull$hit. Quit. Bring the thing to a screaming halt.
What it looks like is you are just week, unable to stand up for yourself as a self respecting human being with some self worth.
grog_sit_reserv said:I wonder what the AirWhiskey guys and gals wrote after they paid to take over the flying of Mesa in the USAir east system by paying to get USAir out of BK. If you don't I do....
I remember those contentious board meetings with about 4500 pilots from both airlines yelling and screaming. I remember the Whiskey MEC Chair whipping out his checkbook and saying how much would it take to get rid of Mesa then all H3ll erupted; it was like the floor of the NYSE I tell ya.
Cows Go Moo said:There's something else wrong with this "Quit and Mesa will cease to be a boon to other regionals" argument. When the 1000 more senior pilots at Mesa, those who have been around 4-20 years, suddenly go, they'll only be replaced by low-time, lower-wage pilots enabling Mesa the company to, you guessed it, bid even lower for more flying. Other unnamed alter-ego companies had no problem recruiting pilots. Mesa hasn't and probably won't ever either.
If there's going to be improvement, and I think it's happening right now, it's the slightly more seasoned Mesa pilots who are going to make it happen. No one including ourselves can do a thing about the contract signed three years ago, but we've been working hard to get the right union leadership in position for the next few years and the next contract. Just wait and see what happens.
WSurf said:AirWhiskey told United to go fuk themselves and invested into US Airways. Mesa however will low ball anyone at the expense of there pilot group. Its not about where and who you fly for, but how low your willing to go at the expense of the rest of the industry! Mesa has shown in the past, and will continue to show in the future the ability to bend over and take it in the arse for J.O.!
For you to compare AirWhiskey to Mesa shows just how fukin gay and dumb you are to the industry.
You guys have a chance to fix your contract, lets see what you do now that the ball is in your court!!! I am beating that you will sell the farm, and further lower the bar for the regional pilots!
And you wonder why your pilot group is sooo hated!!
