MESA Performance in CLT

Don't forget the Mesa trade mark..............if it's a mechanical, dont' cancel- just delay, delay, and delay some more until mainline cancels it for them. Under the contract, if Mesa cancels the flight, they don't get paid for it. However, if USAirways cancels the flight, Mesa gets paid for it anyways- even though it never left the ramp.

That's extremely disturbing. Especially if the captain noticed it and didn't make him take it out. That's about as unprofessional as unprofessional can get. This is an airline, not tattoo parlor.

I agree and unfortunately this level of professionalism isnt being exhibited at just Mesa. While I havent seen a tongue ring at ASA, I have seen black dockers pants, velcro strap wal mart dress shoes, and some fleeces and jackets that are very unprofessional not to mention not being company approved. Its not just Mesa, its all over the regional industry including here at ASA. The example I gave above is just the most extreme I have seen in my 11 year airline career. I blame mgmt whole heartedly for not holding the pilots accountable and sending the ones home who dont comply, not to mention hiring individuals who have no military, command, or professional bearing....

Please tell me that the First Officer was female. If not...well, I don't know what to say. We have this one (male, at ASA) FO that wears tight black slacks, sports a faux hawk, and somehow thinks it's acceptable to have a soul patch beneath his lip. He looks like an idiot. I'm not sure if he still looks this way, but once is bad enough. Damage done. I wish I could repeatedly kick him in the nuts until procreation is impossible and not lose my job.

You're forgetting the "Livestrong" bracelett he wears, also.

I actually flew with an attractive flight attendant while I was a Captain- she was a definate head turner. Twice, when we pulled into the gate in Atlanta, he ran up the airstairs and was all over her. After a brief "discussion" with him, the airplane visits stopped. Sad thing is he probably see's himself at Delta in the future. Worst of all, he's eventually going to be a Captain here............

I had a mesa jumpseater last night. Great guy/great attitude. I still hate Mesa but they have some great pilots.

totally agree, guy looks like a total knob... completely embarassing... but i dont blame him. I blame the stooges that hired the nimrod... that is what probation is for....

I saw another guy ( ASA) last night that had DELTA stickers all over his bag.... he was about 150lbs and looked like he was 19 years old...

who hires these people????

maybe im just getting older ( been at ASA for 10 years), I can absolutely see why people dont want to put their families on certain flights..
