MESA Earnings Report for 1st Qrtr still MIA

Today Mesa announced that they have delayed the 1st qtr results because it would be to expensive but said they will annouce their second qtr results on time but they will be showing a profit.

You misunderstand. The report for Jan-Mar and the report for the 2nd quarter are the same. MESA's FY is Oct-Sep hence the 2nd qrtr is Jan-Mar.

It's pretty simple.
Mesa wants to issue new stock to pay off debt.
If they release their financial results, the price will drop even further than the whopping $0.50 it is now.
They are playing with numbers and time to put themselves in the best position possible for the stock deal. It will be a losing game.

Results FINALLY Released

MESA reported the results for 2nd quarter (Jan-Mar) and they were a lot better than expected. The analysts expected them to come in with $0.01 profit per share and MESA posted earnings at $0.29 per share ($9.4 million). Here's the news release:

Do you have any reading comprehension ability at all? The ST Q results were posted in Feb.
