Good to hear...

What is the deal with the FA's doing open mike on the PA during the safety briefing...???

You mean like southwest, skywest, and even AA recently. it seems like a lot of airlines FA's are going to this style of announcement

Would you like to read the email from ARINC? No MESA is NOT in CASS. Talk like this is going to get people in trouble.

Probably not up to date yet, as of Friday 06/09/06 mesa is CASS.

This was on another thread but its so good that I cant resist.

"Finally there will be a qualified pilot in the flightdeck. Maybe it will now be safe to let my family fly mesa? Doubt it."

Archer,
I emailed Dave at ARINC yesturday. He is the one and only person responsible for updating the cass system. Everything CASS goes through him. If your union told you they were live with cass they are incorrect. As Dave stated, Mesa signed a contract with ARINC but the system has not yet been approved by the TSA or FAA. I'm not trying to argue with you but I don't want to see guys get into trouble or miss commutes and miss trip because they think cass works. If you were told it is active you have been given incorrect information. I'm just trying to clear it up so no one gets in trouble and so none of my guys think they can use you to get to work and then miss trip as well.

While ALPA has told us CASS is active we haven't gotten any info from the company on taking CASS riders and so far Mesa guys trying to use CASS aren't having any luck. While CASS may be "on" until our GOM is updated we still can't take CASS.
