DCA HAS BEEN AN ERJ BASE FOR ALONG TIME NOW...

Appreciated Customer :)

Im going to school next monday on the 1900D. Thanks for the listing, now I have a better Idea of places to bid for. Is there a place that shows the junior/senior status of each? Im a little shaky on the seniority thing when it comes to bases. Would I be correct or in error to presume a faster upgrade at a junior base?

Upgrades are company seniority not the base seniority so bid for the part of the country you want to live in or the easiest commute for yourself. Most bases have 3 to 10 hardlines with someplaces have reserve lines aswell mixed in with the normal hardlines. The line you get each month depends on your hiredate(seniority) in THAT base. There has always been a lot of movement on the beech. when you first get hired they will make you bid all the bases in the order that you want them then award you where they need you and your seniority can hold... you may get your bottom choice for a base at first but they will work up your list of bases until they reach your number 1 choice it could take weeks to get your number 1 choice or it could take years...

YOUR AN A$$. I hope United goes under and takes Mesa with them. Jacka$$

Easy there Bro, it was just a joke based on the Mesa/ACA thing going on right now.

MSS ~ Massena, NY ZV B1900D Pilot

Holly remote a$$ base. Although you could own the town on Mesa pay, might not be that bad.

RDG ~ Reading, PA ZV B1900D Pilot

Many Allegheny guys would kill to get that base back.

I see GJT and PHX as DHC-8 bases, but I thought that Mesa was also flying Dash-8's in Florida too (after PDT got the boot from TPA). Dosen't Mesa have a Dash base in MIA or somewhere else in FL also?

Florida Dash's

the florida dash operation ended several months ago at the time when Mesa shifted them to denver for the UAL startup. No more mia base. All done with 1900's out of a TPA and EYW base i think.

yes, I know, i've been based here for 2+ years. The question was what are the JUNIOR bases...DC has hardly been junior post 911 however with Midway's demise that could likely change.

Thanks Terry but it's like yelling at your dog.

You end up out of breath...........and he just sits there with a stupid look on his face even though he knows what he did was wrong
But I'll spend a little of your quarter....

Congrats to all new hires over at mesea. I guess a few more red lights will be added around town at night.

Don't forget when you get dressed for work to leave your backbone at home but bring all the selfishness you can stuff into your pockets, suitcase, and flightbag.

But you have that job right? I'm glad to see we still teach integrity and morals these day.

Hagen,

What would you do in these guys situation? Not work for Mesa if you were trying to break out of the CFI ranks these days? Give me a break--you would be a new hire at Mesa in a heartbeat. As far as integrity goes, stop bashing people you know nothing about.

Hagen,

Just curious who you sold out to for your first job after being a cfi if you were so lucky. You need to relax and relize some of us have put our time in as cfi's ( me..5 years) and would like to fly something a little faster for awile. Be patient..........the money will come. Good tip.............marry a rich women.

Hagen.....

Are you COEX? I interviewed there a few years back......said NO after the said it was a BUY A JOB AIRLINE! How much did you pay to replace CO mainline flying? Were the "morals and backbone" being taught then?

I've heard the "Air Midwest" call sign out of EYW and throughout FL. Even going into the Bahamas, Governours Harbour, Marsh...

Where are the current pilot bases, within FL?

Just curious,

Thanks

Don't worry you will fit in fine..Maybe you should have look at these and done your homework....(But really spoken like you voted on the last contract)

20.47=1st year
27.97=2nd
31.83=3rd
33.85=4th

Ask 78 % of your buddies how it feels to sell out when you get over there.

I did my time 4 cfi, 2 light charter, mowed lawns for 18 years and still do.
So no KNIGHT I didn't jump at my first chance. Lots of people can work for corrupt companies but don't. And yes you are know for the crowd you run with. (But its nice to know what you would do)

China I never paid a dime for so much as an application fee. Did you? And I have no resolution with walking out of this career altogether before I would take anything sub-standard.
BUT THATS WHERE MY CONVICTIONS LAY. Maybe I also look at the whole table instead of whats just on my plate.

Kick A_S_S ACA!!!!!!

I didn't pay a thing for my job, except hard knocks. Just seems that a lot of B.S. on this board is doled out by people who PAID for their job. Yup, PAID for the job. In my COex interview group, NO ONE who had mins over the amount needed to "waive training fees" was hired. 2 under 800 hrs CFI's got hired then, probably Captains by now. Seems hypocritical to rag one mans situation while not looking honestly at his own. Many felt that paying Flight Safety was OK in their time.... 78% of Mesa pilots voted yes, (I was NOT one of them) I blame lack of YV's ALPA leadership, divergent ALPA national goals (J4J) and APATHY. Moral of the story; Don't let apathy and beliving everything you hear, make you life the $hits. Fly safe....
