Untrue. There was an April Fools joke posted on the XJT message board.

Sorry about your Duke team, this March, they will be they next year, and then the next, so I'm just so happy they are not there this year. I'm sick and tired of them always winning, it's like the Yankees. You either love them or hate them. But the real reason is you have to interview to go to there pre-madonna school. I know it makes you sick, because basketball is all they have to look forward too all year, unless your on the laccross team

We should know something by the end of April, on the 69 airplane thing. That is just what Semak is saying. Not trying to spread a rumor, just posting what I've heard. Hope it's true so we can move on with whatever the outcome is

Oh well...there is always next year.

Where did you hear you have to interview to get into Duke? I never interviewed.

And the lax team thing is quite embarrassing. Inevitable but embarrassing.

Pre-madonna is a reference to Cindy Lauper, the Go-Go's, or Olivia Newton John. They were all fine artists in "there" day, but probably also a bunch of prima donnas.

Careful, you're starting to sound like a Cubs fan.

And on the XJet thing, go into any regional these days and ask if anyone's heard any rumors, and someone will tell you they got the CAL flying.

Not true. Big Sky and Great Lakes have no illusions of grandger.

Signs Say Yes . . . .

Mesa's on the "inside track", whatever that means. Which would mean that Mesa would fly for Delta, USAirways/America West, United, and Continental, and have potentially almost 3000 pilots. (mmmm, I can just feel the love . . . )

Personnally, I'd be surprised if Mesa gets all 69. Look for 20-40 planes, if that.

Here's the article.

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/12086718/

"Continental Airlines could announce a replacement for the operator it plans to withdraw from ExpressJet as soon as next week, according to people close to the discussions.

Mesa Airlines, one of the largest regional carriers, is viewed as the frontrunner to take on the additional Continental business, according to people close to the talks."
