Dude, when I went to Comair, I had no idea who they were. They offered me a flying gig, so I took it. You had no clue about this industry before you got your first job either. Bad karma to you for wishing ill to any pilot. Düschbag indeed!

Ignorance is a pathetic excuse. I hope people would do their homework before choosing where they work.

Some Mesa tool wants to cry about how much life sucks.. they get zero sympathy from me. Life is full of choices, some people just make crappy ones.

Wait until this TA passes then you can call them whatever you want. Their current worst contract in the industry was forced on them, this one isn't. If they actually pass this one then it's validation for what people like broke in CVG have been saying about Mesa.

I have never had a Mesa Pilot Flip me off in my 8 years at Piedmont.

Funny they are going to hold a Meeting on Dec 22. to issue more stock??? The stock will be delisted on dec 16th. I cant imagine the stock holders approving this. The price of a share is already $.28. Issuing additional share will drive the price down further.

I'm thinking a reverse stock split is in their future. The shareholders really don't have much of a choice than to authorize the increase.

I don't care for Mesa or it's management but i do care for the friends and families of the mesa crews. As you should too. Your comment should get you kicked out of here. There is no value to your comment. I am sure you are one of those 500 hr wonders that got hired when the going was good. Some Mesa pilots had to sit 2 years in a 1900 to then upgrade to F/O on a Dash to finally make it to an RJ and still get paid crap because of a contract that was forced on them. Have some respect.

Back in '01 when I was reading my furlough announcement right here on FI, some Mesa pilot told me how much of a FOOL I was by going to a major that Mesa would ALWAYS flourish because they were willing to work for what the market would pay. He claimed that the major pilots were primadonas who diserved layoffs and extinction and that eventually Mesa would fly bigger and bigger equip........ I am very glad he couldn't have been more wrong!

There are idiots everywhere. Majors Regionals... But there are also good hard working, tax payers who will lose a lot if Mesa goes under. I don't like Mesa or better yet what Mesa stands for. But i do care about our brothers. I hope they turn down the TA and get a real contract. I expect they will. Then Mesa will cease to exist and the lesson learned is that if you treat your people poorly pay them crap then you are destined to fail.

And what if they vote in this new TA? Are you still gonna love them as brothers? Remember what they vote in will have a direct effect on neg. at other carriers. So its pretty important that they really improve that POS contract of theres.

Mesa's greed has now become its downfall. They have finally offered such a cheap worthless product that nobody really wants.

I do however wish them luck and hope that they can atleast get a industry average contract.

Let's not forget

Let's stop acting like Mesa pilots are independently acting to race to the bottom. I think we can all agree that their contract is what is damaging this Regional industry. The Mesa pilots themselves will agree. Their pilots are represented by ALPA. Self proclaimed the best association in the industry. It's like any other politician. If things are going good, "look what alpa has done for you". If times are crap, "the union is only as good as the pilot group". Take damn responsibility for this situation. Many of us are represented by the same association allowing this.

We are all to blame. We represent ourselves in negotiations. If this was a court we would be laughed out of the room by all the lawyers. Right now management is laughing at us for excepting such poor wages. We owe it to ourselves. ALPA needs to hire professional negotiators for us, and we need to be far from the management scare tactics.
I can feel the threats from Mesa Management and the guilt that they are throwing at the pilots..."Take this offer or all Mesa employees are going to be unemployeed...." And ALPA is buying it, selling it to the pilot group and bringing down the industry yet again. Rather than hating your brothers, help them.
