I'm so sick of all this crap with the pay an crontract and having SKYW already starting to take our planes. Why the hell won't they just merge the pilot groups already why isn't this an option. I would very happy to take the exact smae contract as SKYW. Or at least give us ASA guys the option to leave and tranfer to SKW.

The strange thing is way back before the purchase when this whole thing was a rumor, then it died, then it was back to being a rumor again I remember Jerry coming into one of our classes and B.S.ing about pay rates and growth, etc. One guy just happens to mention the rumor about buying ASA and how that was of great concern to this relatively junior pilot group. He then proceeded to drop a bomb on everyone speaking about the sale as if it was past tense and was interested why we would be so upset about our future merged pilot list. This was months before the actual sale was announced.

Somewhere between there and the announcement of the sale they decided to operate the companies separately. I can venture to guess a number of reasons why, but I know for a fact their original intention was to merge operations and all seniority lists into a giant "SkyWest/Southeast."

1. You are unionized, they are not

2. How else can mgmt whipsaw you vs. them (if you take a lower pay rate than they have, guess what they (skywest pilots) will be getting paid in the near future...)

3. You're the red-headed step child providing lift to a company that provides lift to other companies, with no scope protection... essentially, you're just a bunch of airplanes, because apparently there is a surplus of pilots willing to fly for welfare wages, so why count you as part of the product.

I must say, I'm a Comair pilot, and a non-believer in management bs. I will vote NO for our proposal. If ASA has the chance to stand up and say NO to lowering pilot pay, then they should. Screw the "race to the botom," it's here, and it's ugly. We may not belong to the same crappy major anymore, but, we can screw them over... together. Let's see how much lift Delta can get when 3500 pilots tell them to go screw themselves.

why have 2 of everthing--scheduling payroll HR Dispatch MAgnt teams--but don't give those pilots a 5.00 raise we can pay double of everything and healthcare cost,,, smart business plan!!! Delta Mag. SMART

If Alpa has some balls we all would take 2-3 days off---please don't go into the legal thing...please---ALPA can just file Bkt like the airlines do...and reorg.

A merge will not happen. Read the code share agreement. Delta has a way out of the contract if ASA and SKW merge. You can be sure SKW wont jeopordize that.

I guarantee that DAL has a way out of the codeshare agreement anyway if they want out.

:rolleyes:So Adam, what you are saying is that you would fly the 70/90 seaters for 50pay? If that is the case, YOU SUCK!! Grow a spine you puss!
